  • Lawrence Okolie (262.4) vs. Kevin Lerena (232.5)
  • Daniel Lapin (174.13) vs. Lewis Edmondson (174.13)

  • Lasha Guruli (139.15) vs. James Francis (137.12)

Keep an eye on Okolie.

He’s looking to make a splash at heavyweight after a successful career at cruiserweight. Okolie has blown up to more than 260 pounds for this fight and his last, so how he performs against the veteran Lerena will be of interest to others in the heavyweight division.

Usyk won the first meeting with Dubois via ninth-round KO. However, there was controversy after the fight. During the fifth round, Dubois landed what looked to be a clean body shot on Usyk’s belt line.

It dropped the Ukrainian champion, but the punch was ruled to be a low blow. While Dubois didn’t get a point deducted, Usyk did stay on the canvas for more than four minutes to gather himself before resuming the fight.

He ultimately waltzed to a victory, stopping Dubois in the ninth round, but many wonder what might have been—and if that punch was truly a low blow. It depends on the angle you see, but there’s no real doubt the shot was borderline at worst. Here’s a look at the entire first fight, if you missed it.

On the strength of that moment, Dubois’ perfect record since—which includes a KO victory over Anthony Joshua—and his coronation as IBF champ, this rematch has been made.

The fight could be an interesting beginning to a heavy combat sports day, which also features UFC 318 and the return of Manny Pacquiao later in the evening.

Stay tuned, as I will have round-by-round coverage of Usyk-Dubois 2 and Pacquiao vs. Mario Barrios, as well as post-event coverage of UFC 318.
