Vice President JD Vance weighed in on a long-running rap beef Wednesday night, praising Nicki Minaj over rival Cardi B as Minaj has become increasingly supportive online of the Trump administration.

Minaj’s original post appeared to say “Vance > Rants,” according to some screenshots on social media, though it’s unclear what prompted that tweet and why she deleted it.
Earlier this week, Minaj reposted several tweets about the Trump administration, including one about a kidney surgery Melania Trump underwent in 2018, which claimed President Donald Trump sent her a “beautiful” letter and postponed meetings to be by her side, though these claims are not supported by reports.
Minaj also reposted a video of Trump doing the viral “Trump dance”—a move he popularized pumping both fists back and forth—and said, “Mood.”
Is Nicki Minaj Becoming More Supportive Of The Trump Administration?
In recent weeks, Minaj has praised the Trump administration in a number of social media posts, several of which have thanked Trump for acknowledging apparent attacks on Christians in Nigeria. “Thank you to The President & his team for taking this seriously,” Minaj said in a post in November after Trump posted on Truth Social about Nigeria. Minaj has also reposted multiple TikToks posted by the official White House account, including one in November that uses her song “Va Va Voom” and lists several accomplishments the administration has claimed in 2025, including “no men in women’s sports, border is closed,” and “criminal illegals are being deported.” Minaj did not formally endorse any of Trump’s presidential runs, and she criticized his immigration policies in 2020. But the Trump administration has recently embraced her: The Team Trump TikTok account posted a video of Trump dancing in November with the caption: “Mood now that Nikki Manaj [sic] is MAGA…”
