Netflix’s beloved Regency-era romance Bridgerton is back for another swoon-worthy season. If you’re counting down to the premiere of Season 4, Part 1, here’s everything to know, including the exact release time, how to watch and what to know about the next love story.

The Shonda Rhimes–produced period drama is based on An Offer from a Gentleman, the third novel in Julia Quinn’s best-selling book series. Like the book, Season 4 shifts focus to Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), the family’s second-oldest son, who is under growing pressure from his family and the ton to finally find a wife.

Hesitant to settle down, Benedict’s perspective shifts after his mother hosts an extravagant masquerade ball, where he meets the captivating Lady in Silver (Yerin Ha). Behind the mask is Sophie, the daughter of an earl who has been forced to become a servant by her cruel stepmother.

In a Cinderella-inspired romance, Benedict sets out to find the mysterious woman, unaware of her true identity. Showrunner Jess Brownell told Town & Country in January 2026 that she wanted the season’s love story to feel like a modern take on the classic fairytale.

“The idea of being a humble housemaid who the prince chooses and sees as being the special one amongst an entire crowd,” Brownell explained. “There’s real wish fulfillment there, but it was important for us to have a modern take on it and not have Sophie just be a damsel in distress who’s waiting for Benedict to choose her. She is someone who’s focused on her own life and her survival in her station.”

As one of Netflix’s biggest hits, Bridgerton Season 4 will be released in multiple parts, following the third season’s two-part rollout. It’s a strategy Netflix has used for its most popular releases, including the most recent final season of Stranger Things, which debuted in three parts over the course of one month.
