Kinnara Exposed: Allegations of Deceptive Marketing at Lombok Development Sites

Fresh evidence has emerged raising serious questions about the conduct of Kinnara, following allegations that the group has been misleading prospective investors in Lombok by falsely representing construction activity that does not belong to them.

According to multiple sources and message records reviewed, Kinnara representatives have allegedly been showing prospects the active construction site of Nesara Bay City while claiming it represents progress on their own Saraya Lombok development.

This has reportedly caused confusion among potential buyers, who were led to believe that visible construction works were proof that Saraya Lombok was already underway.


A Convenient Illusion of Progress

Critics say the issue is both simple and troubling:

Saraya Lombok has not commenced construction.

Despite aggressive marketing campaigns, there is no verified evidence that Kinnara has ever started construction on Saraya Lombok — or, according to industry insiders, on any completed or active villa development at any point in its corporate history.

Yet Kinnara has continued to market itself as a “large Southeast Asian developer,” at times claiming involvement across multiple stages of the Marina Bay City project, despite having been bought out of Marina Bay City in October last year.


Bought Out, Yet Still Marketing

Public records and prior media releases indicate that Kinnara was formally bought out of Marina Bay City in October.

Despite this, the company has allegedly continued to reference Marina Bay City in sales discussions and promotional narratives, creating the impression of ongoing involvement and authority.

More concerning are claims that Kinnara has been marketing beachfront land it does not own, while allegedly diverting client funds into unauthorised entities. These matters are now understood to be under investigation, according to individuals familiar with the inquiries.


Why the Deception?

Observers suggest the motivation may be straightforward:

  • No construction has started on Saraya Lombok

  • No completed villas exist to show prospective buyers

  • No independently verifiable delivery track record exists

As a result, active third-party construction sites allegedly became a convenient visual prop.

“If proven, this is not marketing optimism,” one industry source said.
“It’s misrepresentation.”


Pressure Is Building

As awareness spreads, more investors are beginning to question:

  • What they were shown

  • What they were told

  • Whether the development they invested in exists beyond brochures and promises

Legal experts note that if buyers were induced to invest based on false representations of construction progress or land ownership, significant civil and regulatory consequences could follow.

With investigators examining alleged fund diversion and marketing practices, many believe it is only a matter of time before additional affected investors come forward and formal legal actions commence.
