  • A returning star was left bloodied after a chair shot that may or may not have gone where it was supposed to.
  • The placement of the attack has already turned into a conversation of its own.
  • A Monday night segment set the table for what could be the next major rivalry heading into May.

Bron Breakker just came back from a serious hernia injury at WrestleMania 42 and he’s already had another scary situation. On Raw, Breakker showed up to cut a promo about his return and his ongoing feud with Seth Rollins.

What Happened to Bron Breakker on Raw?

Raw went off the rails fast on Monday night. During the promo, Rollins snuck in the ring with a steel chair, and landed a chair shot on Breakker. The chain landed on the back, up near the head area and it caused a bloody gash to open on the back of Breakker’s noggin.

It was the kind of moment the Las Vegas crowd wasn’t expecting this early in the show. The segment was supposed to be a talking spot for Bron Breakker, not a bloodletting.

How Did Breakker Recover From the Chair Shot?

Breakker’s blood actually made the segment hit harder, which makes me wonder if it was planned. The return of the Street Profits caused a bit of a distraction in the ring and on programming, but ultimately, a bloodied Breakker hopped back into the action with his head and neck stained with his blood.

Breakker suffered a hernia in February 2026 which put his WrestleMania involvement in doubt. Fortunately, he made it back in time to have a pretty significant impact at WrestleMania 42 Night 1.

Was the Chair Shot Placement Intentional?

Either way, WWE has to address it internally. On Monday, he was in the midst of a solid promo before Rollins’ attack and the return of the Street Profits made it a pretty layered segment. Breakker is a star who can only seemingly be slowed down by injury or happenstance.

It’ll be interesting to see or hear if anyone has something to say about the placement of that chair shot from Rollins. It was definitely high, so you have to wonder if it was planned to go high or if someone made an error – namely Rollins. As it is, Breakker appears to be OK despite a cut that is likely to require some stitches to close.

There is a chance we’ll even see images of the laceration posted on social media over the next few hours. That shot – planned or not – is going to add another layer to the feud between Rollins and Breakker.

What’s Next for Breakker and Rollins?

There were several nuggets planted in this episode of Raw. It appears Jacob Fatu will challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash, and The Street Profits will likely challenge the Vision for the tag belts. Also, Rollins vs. Breakker seems inevitable.

While it wasn’t announced, it would appear the two men could be headed for a singles match at Backlash on May 9 in Tampa. That match could be excellent, and it slots into a card that’s already shaping up to carry real post-WrestleMania fallout weight.
