Pink Floyd’s Latest Release Surges Into The Top 10 On Multiple Charts

Last week, the music charts in the United Kingdom were nearly completely dominated by new projects released as part of the semiannual event Record Store Day. Dozens of songs and albums arrived on various tallies, and a few lists were filled from top to bottom with newly-shared offerings by superstars across a variety of genres.

Just days later, nearly every one of those full-lengths, EPs, and songs offered on vinyl, CD, and cassette have disappeared, as is often the case when it comes to Record Store Day. Pink Floyd manages to buck that trend, and the band is one of the few acts to see a Record Store Day-related title not only hold on, but climb. In fact, the legendary rock outfit’s latest album, Live From The Los Angeles Sports Arena, manages to debut on one tally it could not break onto last frame now that competition is not nearly as fierce.

Live From The Los Angeles Sports Arena debuts on the Official Albums chart, the U.K.’s look at the most-consumed albums and EPs regardless of style throughout the country. Sales on CD, cassette, vinyl, and via digital download storefronts such as iTunes, as well as streaming activity, all factor into where a project lands. This frame, the live effort opens at No. 46.

Noah Kahan And Foo Fighters Beat Pink Floyd

Eight titles debut on the Official Albums chart this week, and only a few start in lower spaces than Pink Floyd’s newest entry. The group is beaten by arrivals from Noah Kahan, Foo Fighters, Michael Jackson, and Paul Weller, among others. Even former Beatle Ringo Starr launches his new set beneath Live From The Los Angeles Sports Arena.

A number of other fan favorites return to the ranking as well, with artists such as Elvis Presley, Conan Gray, and multiple collections by Jackson reappearing on the competitive 100-space rundown.

Pink Floyd Last Hit No. 1 Less Than a Year Ago

Live From The Los Angeles Sports Arena earns Pink Floyd its first new placement on the Official Albums chart of 2026, but it hasn’t been a long time since the group earned another launch on the roster. Pink Floyd scored two new wins on the Official Albums chart in 2025. Almost exactly a year ago, At Pompeii – MCMXXII debuted and earned the rockers another No. 1. Months later, before 2026 rolled around, yet another version of the classic bestseller The Dark Side Of The Moon rose as high as No. 75. That seems like a fairly low position for one of the most important full-lengths of all time, although multiple editions have reached the roster in the past.

Live From The Los Angeles Sports Arena Surges

Live From The Los Angeles Sports Arena only manages to debut on the Official Albums chart, though it does surge to notable new highs on several other rankings. Last frame, the live set debuted at No. 73 on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums tallies. In its second turn on those lists, the project vaults all the way to No. 5.

Pink Floyd scores a ninth top 10 on the general ranking of the bestselling albums in the country. The outfit has cracked the highest tier on the Official Physical Albums ranking an even dozen times.

Foo Fighters Block Pink Floyd From a New No. 1

On the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart, which is specific to those styles, Live From The Los Angeles Sports Arena nearly runs the show. The Pink Floyd collection rocks from No. 6 to No. 2, narrowly missing out on running the show once more. Only Your Favorite Toy, the latest effort by Foo Fighters, beats the legendary rockers, as it storms in at No. 1.
