Sabrina Carpenter’s Breakout Albums Become Vinyl Bestsellers Again

For most pop musicians, the album that produces their first big hits is often their debut, or perhaps their second. It’s not common for musical acts aiming for the top 40 space to produce multiple full-lengths before finally hitting it big. And yet, that’s exactly how Sabrina Carpenter’s career has turned out.

She finally became a global superstar with Short N’ Sweet, which included hit singles like “Espresso,” “Please Please Please,” and “Taste,” among others. Short N’ Sweet dropped in the summer of 2024, and it was her sixth album. It’s that set that finds its way back to multiple charts in the United Kingdom this week, and impressively, it is not Carpenter’s only comeback.

Short N’ Sweet Returns to Three Charts in the U.K.

Currently, Short N’ Sweet appears on five rankings in the U.K., and it surges back onto three of them. Short N’ Sweet becomes a top 40 bestseller once again on vinyl as it reenters the Official Vinyl Albums tally at No. 40. The Grammy-winning project comes in only a few spaces lower on both the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales rosters, where it reenters at Nos. 44 and 49, respectively. There are dozens of returning favorites on the charts in the U.K. this week after many Record Store Day releases became immediate bestsellers just days ago. Most of those titles have already disappeared.

Short N’ Sweet Falls on the Streaming Tally

In addition to the three rankings where Short N’ Sweet rebounds, the hugely successful collection appears on two other rosters across the Atlantic. Interestingly, as Short N’ Sweet surges up various sales rosters, it declines on both the Official Albums Streaming and Official Albums charts, where it dips to Nos. 17 and 18, respectively.

Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend Rebounds

Carpenter sees her two most successful full-lengths find their way back to the Official Vinyl Albums chart. This week, as Short N’ Sweet breaks back in at No. 40, Man’s Best Friend, Carpenter’s 2025 offering, rebounds to No. 26.

Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend Surges Into the Top 40

Just like Short N’ Sweet, Man’s Best Friend gains plenty of ground when it comes to purchases, but otherwise, looking at the streaming list and the general albums tally, Man’s Best Friend doesn’t perform quite as well. The project, which was led by the international hit “Manchild,” dances from No. 87 to No. 28 on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts. The former No. 1 has now spent 35 weeks as a bestseller in the U.K.

Last frame, Man’s Best Friend appeared inside the top 10 on the Official Albums Streaming tally and the Official Albums chart. This time around, Carpenter slips just outside that region, landing at No. 11 on the streaming-only roster and one space lower on the list of the most-consumed projects in the U.K.

“Espresso” and “Please Please Please” Both Return

Carpenter sees a pair of releases return to the Official Vinyl Albums chart, and she manages a similar showing on the Official Physical Singles tally. That rundown focuses on the bestselling tracks available on CD, cassette, or vinyl. This week, “Espresso” reappears at No. 43, while “Please Please Please” narrowly manages to once again rank as one of the 100 bestselling tunes on any media that one can hold in their hand, as it breaks back in at No. 99.

“House Tour,” “Manchild” and “Sugar Talking” Continue

While only Short N’ Sweet and Man’s Best Friend appear on the albums rankings, Carpenter claims five hits in the U.K. “House Tour,” “Manchild,” and “Sugar Talking” all live on the Official Singles chart, which only allows every artist to occupy a trio of spaces at one time as a lead act. The first two of those songs also make space on the Official Streaming rundown, as does “Espresso.” In every instance, her non-returning cuts fall from where they sat last week.
