Madonna Doubles Her Career Hits On One Billboard Chart

Billboard changes how its charts work with some regularity, but the introduction of new rankings is a much less frequent sight. One of the company’s most recent additions, the Hot Dance/Pop Songs tally, is nearly a year and a half old, as it was introduced in January 2025. The tally arrived around the same time that the Grammys inaugurated a category that connects electronic dance music and pop, as the two have been crossing over for decades.

In the nearly 18 months of its existence, the Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart has been largely dominated by women, and it caters mostly to rising talents and those names that are especially hot right now. There have been a handful of artists who have been working for years, if not decades, who have landed on the tally, and one of the most successful stars to bridge these styles is playing catch up.

Madonna, one of the most celebrated pop acts and dance musicians of all time, only reached the ranking recently, and shortly after scoring her first win, she’s already doubled her career total.

Madonna Debuts “Bring Your Love” Inside the Top 10

Madonna debuts her new single “Bring Your Love” on this week’s Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart. The tune, a collaboration with current hitmaker Sabrina Carpenter, opens at No. 7, marking an important win for the two singers.

Madonna Doubles Her Career Hits on One Chart

Madonna increases her appearances on the Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart by 100% as “Bring Your Love” arrives. Earlier this month, she earned her first win with “I Feel So Free.” Both cuts are featured on her upcoming album Confessions II.

“I Feel So Free” was the first piece of music released from that project, and appears to be a promotional cut, while “Bring Your Love” is the true first single. “I Feel So Free” opened at No. 12, narrowly missing out on earning Madonna a top 10 smash on her first trip to the tally. That tune spent one frame on the ranking before slipping away.

Now, the icon earns her initial top 10 with some help from her Grammy-winning collaborator. Carpenter collects not only her first top 10, but debut win on the Hot Dance/Pop Songs roster this frame.

Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter Lead Several Debuts

The Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart only features 15 spaces, and this time around, one-third of those rungs are occupied by arrivals. Madonna and Carpenter claim the loftiest debut, and “Bring Your Love” is sandwiched in between “Pinky Up” by Katseye and Michael Jackson’s “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’.”

Zara Larsson is the most successful artist this time around, as three tracks featured on Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, the remixed rerelease of her latest full-length, launch. “EuroSummer” with Shakira, “Pretty Ugly” with JT and Margo XS, and her own “Blue Moon” open at Nos. 11, 14 and 15, respectively. K-pop boy band Cortis launches “RedRed” at No. 12.

Larsson actually fills half a dozen slots on the current edition of the Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart. She holds at Nos. 1 and 2 with “Stateside,” her team-up with PinkPantheress, and “Midnight Sun,” respectively. “Lush Life” slips from No. 3. Last time around, she filled the highest trio of spaces, but she no longer does as Jackson’s “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” dances to a new high of No. 3.

“Bring Your Love” Launches on Nine Billboard Lists

“Bring Your Love” appears on nine Billboard charts this week and debuts on all but one of them. The track launches within the top 10 only on two tallies, the Digital Song Sales and Hot Dance/Pop Songs lists. At the same time, it slides from No. 9 to the summit on the Dance Digital Song Sales list.
