President Donald Trump announced Tuesday he’s appointing Bill Pulte, chair of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, as acting director of national intelligence, his second replacement for the role less than two weeks after Tulsi Gabbard resigned.

Pulte will continue serving as director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency while heading the ODNI, Trump said.

Pulte is Trump’s second replacement for Gabbard after he initially appointed Deputy Director of National Intelligence Aaron Lukas to fill her role.
