Packers Christian Watson Now The NFL’s 15th-Highest Paid Wideout

Wide receiver Christian Watson inked a four-year, $110.5 million contract extension with the Green Bay Packers earlier today. The deal included a $31 million signing bonus.

Watson will average $27.625 million per season, which ranks 15th among all NFL wideouts.

Seattle’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who signed a four-year, $168.6 million deal after last season, has the highest average salary per year at $42.15M. Cincinnati’s Ja’Marr Chase ($40.25M), Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson ($35.0M), Dallas’ CeeDee Lamb ($34.0M) and Pittsburgh’s D.K. Metcalf ($33.0M) round out the top five.

Watson falls right between Denver’s Jaylen Waddle ($28.25M) and Buffalo’s D.J. Moore ($27.5M).

Interestingly, Watson now ranks ahead of former Packers Davante Adams ($22.0M with the Los Angeles Rams) and Romeo Doubs ($17.0M, New England).
