Drake is the most successful artist when it comes to most Billboard charts. He is so prolific and so popular that he has accrued more placements on many of the busiest and most competitive tallies than even the top superstars can only dream of. The Canadian talent continues to promote his three recently released albums – Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honour – and as he does, he reaches an incredible milestone on the toughest airplay ranking to scale.

Drake Scores His Hundredth Radio Hit

“2 Hard 4 the Radio,” the third and latest single from Iceman, becomes a very important hit within the hip-hop musician’s discography. As the track – somewhat ironically – debuts on the Radio Songs tally in last place, at No. 50, it becomes Drake’s hundredth tune to land on the list. Billboard compiles the Radio Songs rundown using airplay data, and it details the tracks that reach the largest total audiences across the nation each week.

Drake Is the First to Reach 100 Radio Smashes

Drake is the first artist to accrue 100 hits on the Radio Songs chart. He has owned the record for the greatest number of appearances for some time, and he furthers his lead this frame. Billboard reports that only two other artists have racked up 80 or more smashes. Chris Brown and Lil Wayne are tied for the second-most hits with 82 apiece.

Drake Ties Mariah Carey’s Top 10 Record

Drake jointly claims the second-most top 10s on the Radio Songs chart, with 24. He shares that honor with Mariah Carey. Only Rihanna, who has reached the tally multiple times with Drake, has pushed more singles into the highest tier, as 30 of her singles have reached the competitive region.

Drake Has Only Scored Three No. 1s

Of Drake’s 100 Radio Songs chart hits, only a fraction have made their way No. 1, while nearly a quarter of all of his successes have broken into the top 10. Just three tracks have dominated.

Drake’s breakout tune, “Best I Ever Had,” became his first leader in the summer of 2009. Two years later, he joined Rihanna on “What’s My Name?,” which holds as his longest ruler, thanks to its seven frames in charge. Drake has not earned another No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart for nearly a decade. “One Dance,” which also credits musicians Wizkid and Kyla, spent a month running the show starting in June 2016.

“2 Hard 4 the Radio” Climbs on Several Billboard Charts

“2 Hard 4 the Radio” is quickly becoming one of the most popular tracks from Drake’s latest era. This week, it appears on a lucky 13 tallies published by Billboard, and as it debuts on the Radio Songs rundown, “2 Hard 4 the Radio” advances to new peak positions on eight rosters. The single improves its standing in its second frame on the Hot Rap Songs, Rap Streaming Songs and R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs (No. 6 on each), Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (No. 7), Rap Airplay (No. 11), Rhythmic Airplay (No. 14), R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay (No. 19) and Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts (No. 23) simultaneously. The song falls on the Billboard Hot 100, both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S., and the Streaming Songs lists as well.
