Updated AEW-NJPW Forbidden Door 2026 Match Card After Go-Home Dynamite

The go-home episode of AEW Dynamite before Forbidden Door is now in the rearview mirror, leaving the match card for Sunday’s show at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, essentially finalized.

AEW added a three-way tag team match to the card on the June 24 episode of Dynamite, pitting The Young Bucks against Mistico and Mascara Dorada and Shingo Takagi and Titán. The bout brings together teams from AEW, CMLL and NJPW in what should be a fun addition to the show and could easily serve as the opener to energize the crowd.

Elsewhere, Mark Briscoe’s team will collide with MJF and the Don Callis Family inside a Steel Cage in one of the main events. Should Briscoe pick up the win, he would seemingly move to the front of the line for an AEW World Championship opportunity against Long Island’s own, either on a future episode of Dynamite or at AEW Redemption in July.

Whoever emerges victorious from that potential title defense, or any others before All In, will then face the winner of the Men’s Owen Hart Cup Final between Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay.

The same applies on the women’s side if Thekla retains the AEW Women’s World Championship. Mercedes Mone and Maya World will square off in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Final, while The Toxic Spider puts her championship on the line against Starlight Kid of Stardom.

With the addition of the three-way tag team match, here’s how the updated card looks for Sunday:
