In one month, Ariana Grande will release Petal, one of the most highly-anticipated albums of 2026. When the year began, it looked like the singer was going to focus on her acting career, as she is now an in-demand Hollywood A-lister following the success of both Wicked films. She does have a new project, Focker-in-Law, which is set to arrive in theaters later this year, but somehow, Grande has also found time to write and record a complete album in between her acting roles and before her new concert tour began.
Before the world gets to hear Petal in full, the actress and singer’s latest full-length, Eternal Sunshine, brings Grande to a milestone on the most competitive albums chart in the United Kingdom.
Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Celebrates a Milestone
At the moment, only one full-length by Grande appears on any chart in the U.K. Eternal Sunshine can be found on both the Official Albums and Official Albums Streaming tallies. The first of those two ranks the most-consumed albums and EPs in the nation, using both sales and streaming data, while the latter focuses entirely on plays on platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify. This frame, Eternal Sunshine dips to No. 62 on the main albums rundown, and more than 20 spaces south on the streaming ranking, where it makes a home at No. 65.
Eternal Sunshine Reaches 100 Weeks on the Albums Chart
As of this period, Eternal Sunshine has spent exactly 100 weeks as one of the 100 most popular albums in the U.K. It is just the third set by the Grammy winner to reach that landmark. Grande’s longest-charting title remains Dangerous Woman, which is only 16 frames ahead of Eternal Sunshine. My Everything stands as her only other project to rack up triple-digit stays on the roster. It is currently up to 105 stints on the list – just over two years.
Ariana Grande Has Charted Five U.K. No. 1 Albums
Throughout her career, Grande has pushed seven releases onto the Official Albums chart. Impressively, each and every one of them has cracked the top 10. Her five most recent debuts – Dangerous Woman, Sweetener, Thank U, Next, Positions and Eternal Sunshine – all hit No. 1.
Eternal Sunshine is one of only two titles by Grande to spend more than a single turn in the top spot, and it follows the three that Thank U, Next managed during its run. Only Yours Truly and My Everything, her first two studio efforts to make it to the rundown, failed to lead the charge, as they peaked at Nos. 7 and 3, respectively.
Eternal Sunshine Hit Another Milestone Last Week
Eternal Sunshine reached 100 weeks on the Official Albums Streaming chart – the only other ranking it appears on this frame in the U.K. – just a few days ago. It is one of four projects by the superstar to hit that figure, following My Everything, Dangerous Woman and Thank U, Next.
Ariana Grande’s Latest Smash Single Holds in the Top 10
The focus for Grande when it comes to songs is “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” the lead single from her forthcoming Petal. That track drops on nearly every U.K. ranking on which it appears, which is not surprising for a pop hit four weeks into its chart run. “Hate That I Made You Love Me” does manage to hold steady at No. 6 on the Official Singles list, the busiest tally of them all.
“34+35” Returns to One Chart in the U.K.
While only one album by Grande appears on any chart in the U.K., just a pair of tracks manage to make space anywhere. “34+35” returns to the Official Physical Singles tally, joining “Hate That I Made You Love Me.” The former No. 1 reenters the list of the top-selling tunes on any physical format in the U.K. at No. 56.
