Tame Impala, the moniker used by multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, scored the biggest hit of its career with “Dracula,” one of the singles pushed from the musical outfit’s latest album, Deadbeat. The tune became a quick smash on Billboard‘s rock and dance charts, but that turned out to be just the beginning.

When Blackpink star Jennie joined a remix of “Dracula,” the track became a global phenomenon. For months now, the collaboration has been performing exceptionally well across more than a dozen Billboard charts, and it’s proved especially popular on the airwaves in America. As “Dracula” advances again and hits a new peak position on one of the most competitive rankings published by the chart company, Jennie passes her own bandmate and claims a historic win.

Jennie and Tame Impala’s “Dracula” Reaches a New Peak

A dozen weeks into its time on the Radio Songs chart, which details the tunes that reach the largest total audiences across all formats throughout the country, “Dracula” improves and hits a new high of No. 3. Last week, it was down in sixth place.

Only two non-movers, “I Just Might” by Bruno Mars and Olivia Dean’s “So Easy (To Fall in Love),” keep Tame Impala and Jennie from ascending into the highest rung. Both of those tracks are steady at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.

As of this period, “I Just Might” stands alone as the fourth longest-running leader of all time. The song breaks out of a tie it set only days ago with “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls and “Flowers” by pop superstar Miley Cyrus for that honor.

Jennie Passes Rosé on Billboard’s Radio Songs Chart

Now that it has lifted all the way to No. 3, “Dracula” stands as the second highest-rising hit of all time on the Radio Songs chart by any K-pop artist. While “Dracula” itself is not a K-pop tune, Jennie is typically associated with that genre.

Last week, “Dracula” sat in third place on this all-time rundown. It landed behind “Golden” – credited to the fake animated girl group Huntr/x, as well as singers Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami – which remains the only K-pop No. 1 on the Radio Songs rundown, as well as “Apt.” by Rosé and Mars. Now, Jennie has passed her Blackpink bandmate Rosé by just one space.

Jennie Doubled Her Radio Chart Hits This Year

“Dracula” remains the only hit by Tame Impala to make it to the Radio Songs chart. Jennie doubled her career wins when the collaboration launched on the list in mid-April.

Two years prior, she scored her first Radio Songs tally smash with “One of the Girls.” That track was also credited to the Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, Jennie’s co-stars in the short-lived HBO Max series The Idol. That cut only rose as high as No. 48 on the ranking, which includes 50 spaces, and spent three frames on the chart – only a quarter of the time that “Dracula” has managed thus far.

“Dracula” Appears on 17 Billboard Charts

This week, “Dracula” appears on 17 rankings published by Billboard, and it pushes to new heights on three of them. In addition to the Radio Songs rundown, “Dracula” also improves its standing on both the Pop Airplay and Adult Contemporary rosters, leaping to Nos. 3 and 19, respectively.

“Dracula” either holds at its loftiest rung yet or returns to its top placement on eight additional Billboard charts. That roundup includes the Billboard Hot 100, as well as lists that are focused on pop, rock, alternative and dance music.
