11 songs by Morgan Wallen appear on the Billboard charts this week, with most taking up space on multiple rosters. A handful are only wins when looking at the Country Streaming Songs rundown, as Wallen is perhaps the most successful name in the genre when it comes to platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and others.
While multiple cuts by the Grammy nominee take up space on one list or another, Wallen is currently promoting two singles: his own “Don’t We,” taken from his year-old album I’m the Problem, and “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” a collaboration with Ella Langley, the hottest name in country music at the moment. Those smashes both climb to new peak positions on the most competitive songs ranking in America, while at the same time, Wallen proves just how much his fans love streaming his work – all of it.
Morgan Wallen and Ella Langley Hit a New Billboard Hot 100 High
Langley and Wallen have kept “I Can’t Love You Anymore” on the Billboard Hot 100, the company’s ranking of the most-consumed songs in the nation, for a milestone 10 weeks as of this period. As it reaches that landmark figure, “I Can’t Love You Anymore” climbs from No. 9 to No. 6. That’s a new high for the duet.
“I Can’t Love You Anymore” already ranked as Langley’s third highest-rising hit on the Billboard Hot 100 before this frame, and it is one of only three top 10s from the singer-songwriter. It trails “Choosin’ Texas,” a 12-week No. 1 – which is in charge again this time around – and “Be Her,” which has been blocked from the summit only by “Choosin’ Texas.” “I Can’t Love You Anymore” previously peaked at No. 7, and it raises that figure by just one space.
“I Can’t Love You Anymore” is now tied with Wallen’s “7 Summers,” which launched in sixth place in the summer of 2020. Last week, the Langley team-up was on the same level as “Thinkin’ Bout Me,” “Thought You Should Know,” “I Got Better,” “Lies Lies Lies” and “Don’t Think Jesus” – five cuts by Wallen that never climbed higher than No. 7.
“Don’t We” Soars Higher Than Ever on the Main Songs Chart
At the same time that “I Can’t Love You Anymore” misses out on breaking into the Billboard Hot 100’s top five by just one space – a feat it may manage very soon – Wallen’s own “Don’t We” also establishes a new peak position on the chart by stepping up one space to No. 21. Coincidentally, it reaches that slot in its twenty-first week on the roster.
Morgan Wallen Ties Several of His Own Hits
Two tracks by Wallen – “Eyes Are Closed” and “Stand by Me,” a collaboration with hip-hop superstar Lil Durk – rose to No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stopped there. “Don’t We” is now one of four releases by the country megastar to peak at No. 21, though in the coming weeks, “Don’t We” may continue its ascent. At the moment, Wallen’s current single is matched with “Whiskey Whiskey” with Moneybagg Yo, “Miami,” which also credits rappers Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, and “Kick Myself,” all of which stalled at No. 21 during their runs.
“Don’t We” Nearly Rules Country Radio
Between “I Can’t Love You Anymore” and “Don’t We,” the latter is the only one of the two that also manages a new peak placement on any other roster. Wallen narrowly misses out on conquering the Country Airplay chart – known as perhaps the most competitive of all of Billboard’s radio rankings – by just one space as it dances from No. 4 to No. 2. “I Can’t Love You Anymore” holds at its all-time high on the Country Airplay roster, No. 5, and manages a similar showing on the Radio Songs rundown, where it’s a non-mover at No. 16.
Morgan Wallen Sends Multiple Hits Back to the Streaming Songs List
As both “I Can’t Love You Anymore” and “Don’t We” enjoy their most successful weeks yet on the Billboard Hot 100, a pair of career-defining smashes by Wallen return to the Streaming Songs chart. “What I Want,” his previous leader with Tate McRae, and “20 Cigarettes,” another tune featured on I’m the Problem, find their way back to the ranking of the most-played tunes of any style via sites like Spotify throughout the U.S. “What I Want” is the higher-ranking of the two as it settles at No. 41, while “20 Cigarettes” closes out the roster at No. 50.
Morgan Wallen Claims Six Streaming Hits
Wallen scores half a dozen wins on this week’s Streaming Songs chart. Notably, “Don’t We” does not appear on the tally, but “I Can’t Love You Anymore” does improve slightly to No. 8. Also present on the ranking are “I Got Better,” “I’m the Problem” and “I Had Some Help” with Post Malone, which lift to Nos. 19, 21 and 27, respectively.
