Ella Langley officially began the second chapter of her career last fall when she delivered “Choosin’ Texas.” The tune, the first single from her then-upcoming album Dandelion, arrived in October 2025. It only needed a matter of weeks before becoming a huge hit in America, and by 2026, it was easily the biggest smash of her career. In the months since, “Choosin’ Texas” has broken a number of records and spent months as the most-consumed cut in the nation.
Country music isn’t nearly as popular in the United Kingdom, though fans in that territory are making an exception for Langley. “Choosin’ Texas” has become the rare smash from the genre, and despite the fact that it is nearing its first birthday, Langley’s tune is only getting bigger and bigger each week. Months into its time on some of the most competitive rosters in the U.K., “Choosin’ Texas” climbs to a new high point, and Langley manages a very notable first.
“Choosin’ Texas” Becomes Ella Langley’s First Streaming Top 10
On this week’s Official Streaming chart, the list of the most-played cuts in the U.K., regardless of style, length, or language, via platforms like Spotify, “Choosin’ Texas” improves from No. 12 to No. 10. The single breaks into the highest tier for the first time.
20 weeks into its tenure on the Official Streaming tally, “Choosin’ Texas” becomes Langley’s first top 10. It remains her only composition to land on the roster, so every time it ascends to a never-before-seen height, so too does the singer-songwriter.
Ella Langley Reaches the Top Five for the First Time
At the moment, “Choosin’ Texas” appears on four lists in the U.K., and it steps up on two of them. Notably, on the pair of rankings where “Choosin’ Texas” climbs, it establishes new peak positions.
In addition to the Official Streaming rundown, “Choosin’ Texas” also dances to No. 5 on the Official Singles chart, the most competitive songs tally in the U.K. That’s a new high point, and Langley finds herself inside the top five for the first time in her career, shortly after “Choosin’ Texas” celebrated half a year on the ranking.
“Choosin’ Texas” Backtracks on Two Sales Rankings

“Choosin’ Texas” is performing well when it comes to both metrics that feed into the Official Singles chart: streams and sales. While it grows to a new lofty placement on the Official Streaming list, the cut reverses course and backtracks on both the Official Singles Downloads and Official Singles Sales rankings.
“Choosin’ Texas” manages to hold inside the loftiest tier on the downloads-only list, sliding from No. 2, its all-time peak, to No. 10. At the same time, Langley’s breakout hit dips from No. 7 to No. 11 on the Official Singles Sales chart, which details the top-selling songs, regardless of how listeners purchased them. In the 31 weeks it has spent on the busy tally, “Choosin’ Texas” has peaked at No. 4.
“Weren’t for the Wind” Becomes Ella Langley’s Sixth Hit
As Langley rises to a new career high on the Official Singles chart, she also scores a sixth hit. “Weren’t for the Wind,” a single pushed from her debut album Hungover back in October 2024, arrives on the competitive roster at No. 92. It stands out as her lowest-peaking cut so far, but the fact that a nearly two-year-old tune has suddenly become popular again speaks to how well Langley’s career is going at the moment and how intense the appetite for her music is in the U.K.
Half of Ella Langley’s Career Hits Chart This Week
The Official Charts Company only allows each artist to fill three spaces on the Official Singles chart at a time as a lead act. Langley completes that trifecta this frame, thanks to the rising “Choosin’ Texas,” the debut of “Weren’t for the Wind,” and “Be Her.” That second Dandelion single dips from No. 47 to No. 56. Langley has only pushed half a dozen tracks to the tally, and this frame, half of them appear on the main songs roster.
“Be Her” Improves on Two U.K. Sales Tallies
“Weren’t for the Wind” only manages to land on the Official Singles chart, failing to make space on streaming or sales rosters. “Be Her,” meanwhile, improves nearly 20 spots on the Official Singles Downloads list, leaping from No. 94 to No. 76. At the same time, it reenters the Official Singles Sales rundown at No. 83.
