Led Zeppelin Surges Back To The Charts With Multiple Albums

Led Zeppelin changed the direction where rock music was headed immediately after debuting with its self-titled album, and across only a little more than a decade, the rockers released some of the most commercially successful and impactful music in hard rock history. More than 40 years after Led Zeppelin stopped writing and recording new music, the band can almost always be found on the charts in the United Kingdom. Sometimes it is just one collection that sells well enough to appear on a tally, but this frame is an especially busy one for the act.

Multiple projects return, and notably, on different tallies, as British fans are still in love with the band’s work.

Three Albums by Led Zeppelin Reappear on the Rock Chart

Three collections by Led Zeppelin reappear on album rankings across the Atlantic, and two of them land on the same tally. Led Zeppelin II and the first Led Zeppelin find their way back to the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart, the list of the top-selling projects in those styles. Led Zeppelin II is the higher-ranking of the pair, coming in at No. 32, while Led Zeppelin breaks back in at No. 37.

Led Zeppelin and Led Zeppelin II Return Together

Both Led Zeppelin and Led Zeppelin II were last seen on the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart back in January. The earlier release of the pair appeared in a loftier position as 2026 began, while Led Zeppelin II hasn’t ranked higher than No. 32 since December 2025.

Led Zeppelin Fills Three Spaces on the Same Chart

Led Zeppelin fills a trio of spaces on the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart, which only includes 40 rungs. As both Led Zeppelin and Led Zeppelin II return, Four Symbols – which is a name commonly connected to the group’s untitled release – surges from No. 40 to No. 23.

Led Zeppelin Ties Linkin Park and Pink Floyd

Thanks to the band’s pair of comebacks, Led Zeppelin ties two other rocking groups for the second-most appearances on this week’s Official Rock and Metal Albums chart. Led Zeppelin is matched with Linkin Park — Hybrid Theory, Meteora, and From Zero — and Pink Floyd — The Dark Side of the Moon, 8-Tracks, and Wish You Were Here. Only Metallica claims more rungs, as five sets from the hard rockers — Reload, Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, the group’s self-titled release, and Kill ‘Em All — appear on the genre-specific rundown.

Led Zeppelin Has Scored 10 No. 1 Albums

Of Led Zeppelin’s three bestsellers on the current edition of the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart, two have led the charge. Four Symbols and the first of three self-titled releases by the outfit have dominated. Led Zeppelin II has never risen higher than third place since first appearing on the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart more than 30 years ago, in the spring of 1995.

Led Zeppelin has racked up a milestone 10 champions on the rock albums roster. Another dozen projects have climbed into the top 10, and several have peaked at either Nos. 2 or 3, but never managed to top the tally.

Here are all of Led Zeppelin’s No. 1s on the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart.

  • BBC Sessions
  • Celebration Day
  • Four Symbols
  • How the West Was Won
  • Led Zeppelin
  • Mothership
  • Physical Graffiti
  • Presence
  • Remasters
  • The Complete BBC Sessions

Four Symbols Returns to a Different Ranking as Well

As Four Symbols leaps 17 spaces north on the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart, the set also becomes a bestseller on a second British rundown. Four Symbols reenters the Official Physical Albums ranking – which is not specific to any one style, but which does only count sales on CD, cassette, and vinyl throughout the U.K. – at No. 96. Led Zeppelin’s fourth full-length, which is also sometimes referred to as Led Zeppelin IV, has not managed to land on the Official Physical Albums list since January 2024.
