Madonna began releasing music from her then-upcoming album Confessions II in mid-April. The rollout began with “I Feel So Free,” a promotional cut. Only a few weeks later, “Bring Your Love,” a collaboration with pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter, which was the first main single from the set, dropped and became a quick win on charts all around the world. Before Confessions II arrived in full, both “Love Sensation” and “Read My Lips,” a team-up with Latin powerhouse Feid, were also shared.
Just days after the world got to hear Confessions II in full, “Danceteria” was chosen as the latest single from the highly-anticipated sequel to Confessions on a Dance Floor, and it is that track that debuts on multiple charts in the U.K. Madonna scores several new sales wins in the country thanks to fan favorites from Confessions II, while several previously released cuts remain top performers as well.
“Danceteria” Debuts Inside the Top Three on Multiple Charts
“Danceteria” is an immediate top 10 bestseller on multiple U.K. rosters. This frame, the cut enters both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts in third place.
Madonna Scores the Second-Highest Debut This Week
On both tallies, Madonna scores the second-loftiest debut. U.K.-based boy band Take That nearly earns another No. 1 as “Sweet July” launches in the runner-up rung. Take That and Madonna are beaten by “Move Into the Sun,” a collaboration between Hugel, Imael Angel and Ultra Naté. That smash soars to the summit on the Official Singles Sales tally, which details the bestselling cuts of any style and via any format in the country, while holding in that position on the downloads-only rundown.
“Danceteria” Becomes Madonna’s Highest-Ranking Recent Sales Hit
As “Danceteria” arrives, Madonna earns her sixth top 10 on the Official Singles Sales chart, the most competitive sales tally for individual tracks in the U.K. While she has ranked as one of the bestselling artists in the world for decades, half of all of her top 10s on the purchase-only rundown come from Confessions II. Amazingly, “Danceteria” is the highest-ranking of the bunch. “Bring Your Love” with Carpenter peaked at No. 4, while “Love Sensation” topped out at No. 5 a month ago.
Here are all of Madonna’s top 10s on the Official Singles Sales chart.
- “Bring Your Love” with Sabrina Carpenter
- “Danceteria”
- “Erotica”
- “Like a Prayer”

Madonna Returns to the Top 10 on the Downloads Chart
Madonna has performed significantly better when looking only at the highest tier on the Official Singles Downloads chart, where “Danceteria” becomes her eleventh track to break into the loftiest region. Four songs from Confessions II —”I Feel So Free,” “Bring Your Love” with Carpenter, “Love Sensation,” and now “Danceteria” — have all reached not only the top 10, but the top five, with the first of the bunch missing out on becoming a ruler by only one rung.
Here are all of Madonna’s top 10s on the Official Singles Downloads chart.
- “4 Minutes” with Justin Timberlake
- “Bring Your Love” with Sabrina Carpenter
- “Celebration”
- “Danceteria”
- “Give It 2 Me”
- “Hung Up”
- “I Feel So Free”

Madonna Has Now Charted 85 Hits as “Danceteria” Arrives
“Danceteria” marks Madonna’s only debut this time around on the Official Singles chart, which ranks the most-consumed cuts in the nation using both sales and streaming data. The latest Confessions II single opens at No. 38, granting the Queen of Pop another top 40 smash.
As “Danceteria” launches, Madonna reaches a milestone 85 wins on the most important songs list in the country. That is more hits than she’s scored on the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads rosters combined, where she has racked up 80 total placements.
“Bizarre” Becomes Another Madonna Smash
“Bizarre,” another track from Confessions II and a collaboration with electronic dance producer Martin Garrix – who oddly does not receive credit on the track – becomes a bestseller, joining “Danceteria,” though it does not make it to the Official Singles chart. “Bizarre” opens at No. 58 on the Official Singles Downloads list and No. 65 on the Official Singles Sales rundown. Thanks to her pair of debuts, Madonna has scored 36 wins on the sales chart and 44 on the downloads tally.
