Yet again, Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” holds at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The biggest hit in America collects a milestone fifteenth frame in charge, becoming one of fewer than 10 tracks to dominate the country’s most competitive songs ranking for that long.
“Choosin’ Texas” continues to perform well across all three metrics that feed into the Billboard Hot 100: streams, sales and radio airplay. This week, though, it leads only one of those component tallies. The country smash remains No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart, standing out as the most-played track of any style on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music throughout the United States.
As it holds in that slot once more, Langley moves higher on the all-time ranking of the longest-running leaders and matches a historic smash from nearly a decade ago.
Ella Langley Ties “Despacito” With 16 Weeks at No. 1
“Choosin’ Texas” leads the Streaming Songs chart for a sixteenth week. That total ties Langley’s hit as the fourth-longest-running No. 1 in the history of the ranking.
The country tune matches “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber. That global blockbuster controlled the list of the most-streamed songs in the U.S. for 16 periods in 2017.
Mariah Carey Still Holds the All-Time Record
Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” remains the longest-running No. 1 in the history of the Streaming Songs chart. The holiday favorite has accumulated 26 weeks – half a year – in the top spot.
That run has been spread across more than half a decade. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” first climbed to No. 1 in 2019 and has returned to the peak position during almost every holiday season since. The seasonal smash even controlled the ranking earlier in 2026, as Christmas listening continued into January.
“Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus held the record for several years after becoming the first track to reach a milestone 20 weeks in charge. Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” nearly matched that sum, spending 19 frames as the most-streamed song in the country.
Ella Langley Could Reach 17 Weeks In a Few Days
“Choosin’ Texas” will almost certainly hold at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart when Billboard refreshes its rankings again in a matter of days. Should it continue to lead, Langley will collect a seventeenth frame at the summit, passing “Despacito” for good.
Even if “Choosin’ Texas” reaches 17 periods in charge, it will still need another two after that to tie the 19-week reign of “Last Night” and advance again on the historic roster.
Wallen and Langley have also scored one of the biggest hits of each artist’s career together. Their collaboration “I Can’t Love You Anymore” is currently working its way up several Billboard tallies while “Choosin’ Texas” continues to dominate.
“Choosin’ Texas” Needed Months to Reach No. 1
“Choosin’ Texas” debuted on the Streaming Songs chart in November 2025. The single did not rise to the summit until the final ranking published in January of this year. The track has now spent 40 weeks on the tally. A little less than half of those periods have been at No. 1.
Its time in charge has been divided across six distinct runs. Champions by Bruno Mars, Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Olivia Rodrigo, Drake and Taylor Swift have all interrupted Langley’s reign at different points, but so far, she’s always found her way back to the top space.

Ella Langley Has Scored Five Streaming Chart Top 10s
Throughout her career, Langley has placed nine tunes on the Streaming Songs chart. More than half of them — five in total — have cracked the top 10, and all of them reached that region after the incredible success of “Choosin’ Texas.”
“Be Her” came closest to giving Langley another No. 1, but it was blocked from the summit by “Choosin’ Texas” and instead topped out at No. 2. “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” her collaboration with Wallen, climbed as high as No. 3.
Two more solo tracks also became top 10 streaming hits earlier this year. “Loving Life Again” and “Bottom of Your Boots” reached Nos. 6 and 7, respectively, in April.
