Finding Your “WordCode”: The Language Of Motivation

Several years ago, I was flying over the Midwest, traveling with a business partner after an off-site presentation. He turned to me with a critique: “Great job today, Sharon, but you tend to get too warm and fuzzy during your presentations at times.” I’ve always believed that being yourself is the easiest way to be, so I lead with passion and enthusiasm.

Just as I was defending my perspective, the flight attendant announced over the intercom, “Why don’t you take a moment and just share some love with your neighbor?” I couldn’t help but smile. Sometimes the universe has a way of validating your frequency just when you need it.

This experience stayed with me because it highlights a fundamental truth: Words have power, and how we deliver those words carries even greater weight.

This isn’t just a nice sentiment from someone who loves language (which I do). It is a universal law. To understand this, we have to look at the Law of Vibration, which tells us that everything in our universe—from the stars to our very cells—is vibrating at a subatomic level. We essentially attract what we are vibrating. This is why I am so focused on the words we choose. They are the vibrational energies we project into the world to direct our collective evolution.

The Science of the “Word”

If you find this hard to believe, look at the work of Japanese scientist Dr. Masaru Emoto. His research in The Hidden Messages in Water showed that words have a physical, vibrational effect on molecular structures. When positive words like “love” or “gratitude” were directed at water, they created beautiful, symmetrical ice crystals. Negative words like “war” or “you fool” resulted in misshapen, chaotic structures. If simple words can alter water crystals in such a profound way, imagine what they are doing to our own bodies and environments. Whether we like it or not, these sounds and thoughts affect our consciousness as a whole.

The “Water” Moment

We can see the transformative power of a single word in the life of Helen Keller. Before she discovered language, she described herself as an “unconscious clod of earth,” living in a “phantom world” without past, present, or future. Her mental awakening happened at a simple water pump. As the cool stream flowed over one hand, her teacher traced the word w-a-t-e-r into the other. That one word dropped into her mind like “the sun in a frozen winter world.” It lifted her from isolation and nothingness to human life.

Identifying Your WordCode
