Katseye Hits The Top 10 For The First Time On One Of Billboard’s Biggest Charts

Later this week, Katseye will release Wild, the group’s third EP. The band first began sharing music in the summer of 2024, and so far, a full-length has not materialized. Katseye is becoming more and more popular, and it seems like every time the singers drop new music, it brings them to new heights on various Billboard charts.

Shortly before Wild becomes available in full, a second single from the set titled “Animal” dropped, and this week it reaches lofty positions on multiple Billboard rankings. “Animal” nearly cracks the top 10 on almost every roster where it debuts, but misses out on that highest tier by a few spaces on most lists. That said, the tune does mark new peak positions for Katseye on a handful of rankings, only days before Wild may do the same.

Katseye Debuts Inside the Global Chart’s Top 10

“Animal” reaches the top 10 on one of the five Billboard charts where it debuts. The single opens at No. 10 on the Billboard Global 200, which ranks the most-consumed songs around the world using streaming and sales activity.

The track launches at No. 12 on three additional rankings – the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. “Animal” comes in lowest on the Billboard Hot 100, the most competitive tally of the bunch, where it is new at No. 24.

Katseye Reaches New Career Peaks on Three Charts

“Animal” brings Katseye to never-before-seen highs on three of those five rosters. It becomes the group’s highest-charting hit yet on the Streaming Songs chart, the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. – with the troupe breaking into the top 10 for the first time on the Billboard Global 200.

On both worldwide rankings, “Gabriela” previously represented Katseye’s high point. That single peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. – just one space below where “Animal” debuts this frame – and No. 16 on the Billboard Global 200. On the Streaming Songs tally, “Animal” outpaces the No. 21 peak that “Pinky Up” managed when it debuted back in April.

Katseye Scores Its Fifth Streaming Hit

This week, Katseye scores its fifth career placement on the Streaming Songs chart. Four of those tracks have debuted in 2026.

In January, “Internet Girl” launched at No. 23. “Pinky Up” followed in April and rose as high as No. 21, while “Iconic By Mistake,” Katseye’s collaboration with K-pop girl groups Le Sserafim and ILLIT, never made it higher than No. 29. Now, “Animal” brings the group closer to the top 10 than ever before.

Katseye Nearly Earns Its First Sales Chart Top 10

“Animal” almost helps Katseye score its first top 10 on the Digital Song Sales chart, which tracks the bestselling digital songs throughout the United States. Instead, the single brings the Grammy-nominated act to the roster for the second time and debuts at No. 12. Coincidentally, it matches “Iconic By Mistake,” which also spent one frame at No. 12 only a few months ago.

Katseye Scores Another Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 Smash

As “Animal” arrives on the Billboard Hot 100, it misses out on tying the outfit’s previously-established career peak by only a few rungs. “Gabriela” soared to No. 21 in January of this year after first debuting on the tally last July.

“Animal” kicks off its run at No. 24, becoming Katseye’s fifth top 40 hit. Only one song by the group, “Gnarly,” has appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 but failed to break into that region. That track peaked at No. 82, though it would go on to become one of Katseye’s longest-charting tunes.
