The track is also that rare thing that comes along only every few years: a streaming sensation based in the sounds of country.
“Choosin’ Texas” has turned Langley into a superstar, and after dominating multiple rosters in America for months, the track is now one of the sturdiest No. 1s of all time on a handful of lists. As “Choosin’ Texas” once again counts as the most-streamed cut in the nation, Langley passes two of the hottest Latin artists of all time and a Canadian pop superstar, reordering an important all-time ranking.
Ella Langley Reaches 17 Weeks at No. 1
“Choosin’ Texas” is steady at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart. The list tracks the most-played tunes of all genres throughout the United States on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and others. As of this period, “Choosin’ Texas” has spent 17 frames as the most-streamed composition in the country.
Ella Langley Passes “Despacito”
Last week, “Choosin’ Texas” was tied with “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber. The two hits jointly claimed the fourth-longest reign in the history of the Streaming Songs tally for only a few days, as both managed to lead the charge for 16 periods. Now, “Choosin’ Texas” moves ahead. Langley still claims the fourth-longest run at No. 1, but she owns that position by herself, while “Despacito” falls to fifth place on the all-time rundown.
Ella Langley Is Two Weeks From Matching Morgan Wallen
It will be another two weeks before Langley can advance again on this specific historic ranking. Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” spent 19 weeks at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs roster beginning in 2023.
Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus sit one frame ahead of Wallen, as “Old Town Road” managed a milestone 20 periods running the show more than half a decade ago. Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” remains the all-time leader, with exactly 26 weeks — half a year — in first place. Carey’s holiday staple began that run in 2019 and has continued adding to its total during almost every holiday season since.
Ella Langley Begins a Seventh Run at No. 1
This week begins the seventh separate stint at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart for “Choosin’ Texas.” The smash first climbed to the summit in late January, and since then, it has repeatedly left and returned to the peak position.
Songs by Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, Olivia Rodrigo, Drake and Taylor Swift have all interrupted Langley’s reign – and some of those musicians have done so more than once. Last week, Wallen’s “Been By Now” replaced “Choosin’ Texas” at No. 1, ending a five-week stay in the penthouse for Langley. Now, only one frame later, she is back in charge.
Ella Langley Rules Sales, Streaming and the Billboard Hot 100
“Choosin’ Texas” also spends a seventeenth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The country smash continues to rule the most important songs ranking in America thanks largely to its incredible performance when looking at both streams and sales.

Langley once again controls both the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts with “Choosin’ Texas.” The track also remains inside the top 10 on the Radio Songs tally, the only one of those three major component lists that it has yet to conquer.
