Singer-songwriter Role Model has been releasing music for nearly a decade, but it was not until his sophomore full-length on a major label, Kansas Anymore, arrived in the summer of 2024 that he began to build a truly global audience. That project earned him critical praise and introduced him to millions of listeners around the planet.
Role Model has spent much of 2026 gearing followers up for another studio effort, one which capitalizes on his newfound popularity. Chuck Timely & The Hourglass launched earlier this month and opens in impressive positions on charts in multiple countries. In the United Kingdom, the set brings Role Model to various tallies for a second visit, but helps him reach the top 10 on multiple rosters for the first time.
Role Model Scores His First Top 10s on Five Charts
Chuck Timely & The Hourglass debuts on seven U.K. charts this week, and on five of them, Role Model scores his first top 10. The set opens at No. 3 on the Official Albums Sales, Official Physical Albums and Official Vinyl Albums charts. It also comes in at No. 6 on the Official Albums ranking, which measures total consumption using both sales and streaming activity. Role Model had never reached the highest tier on any of those tallies before.
Role Model Lands One of the Week’s Biggest Debuts
On several of those charts, Chuck Timely & The Hourglass ranks as the third loftiest debut of the week. A Love Letter to a Broken Town by The Reytons launches at No. 1 across the rankings, while girl group FLO’s project Therapy at the Club also starts ahead of Role Model on several lists.
The order changes slightly on the Official Vinyl Albums chart. Role Model still debuts at No. 3, but Kylie Minogue’s years-old X opens one place higher at No. 2 following a recent reissue.
Minogue is riding high at the moment thanks in part to her association with Madonna. She features on a new collaborative version of “Love Sensation” from Confessions II, and that duet launches at No. 1 on various sales lists in the U.K. At the same time, it brings both women back to the top 10 on the Official Singles chart, where it opens at No. 8.
Role Model Doubles His Americana Chart No. 1s
Chuck Timely & The Hourglass only leads one of the seven U.K. charts where it debuts, and it does so on a ranking where Role Model has already proved especially successful. The full-length opens at No. 1 on the Official Americana chart, doubling his career total of champions on the genre-specific roster.
Kansas Anymore has already conquered that tally. The musician’s breakout set spent two frames at No. 1 and has now spent a total of 104 weeks — exactly two years — somewhere on the ranking.
Role Model Manages Two Additional Career Firsts
Chuck Timely & The Hourglass also earns Role Model his first appearance on the Official Album Downloads chart. The full-length kicks off its run at No. 17.
The album simultaneously brings him back to the Official Albums Streaming roster and immediately helps him establish a new career high. Chuck Timely & The Hourglass debuts at No. 76, which is easily the title’s lowest position among the seven rankings where it appears in the U.K. That position is still comfortably above the No. 91 peak previously established by Kansas Anymore.
