Ella Langley’s Only Two Albums Both Return To Their All-Time Peaks

Ella Langley has only released two albums in her career, and both have turned out to be hugely successful commercially. Dandelion, her sophomore set, arrived this spring and was buoyed by the immense success of the single “Choosin’ Texas.” The project brought the singer-songwriter to new heights on nearly every albums ranking in the nation.

Langley’s newfound popularity even allowed Hungover, her debut project, to ascend to never-before-seen heights as well, in some cases years after its launch. This week, both of Langley’s full-lengths — the only two included in her catalog — rise to their all-time peaks on the most competitive albums roster for country music.

Ella Langley Claims Two Top Five Albums

Langley fills two spaces inside the top five on the Top Country Albums chart this week. Dandelion returns to the summit, lifting from second place to No. 1. She trades places with Morgan Wallen, her partner on the hit song “I Can’t Love You Anymore.” Hungover also climbs just one rung, returning to its previously-established peak of No. 5.

Ella Langley’s Dandelion Returns to No. 1

Dandelion debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart in late April when it was brand new, immediately becoming Langley’s first champion on the roster. The ranking measures the most-consumed country albums in the United States, with both traditional sales and streaming activity determining where a full-length settles.

Dandelion has now spent 18 weeks somewhere on the tally. An incredible 14 of those frames have been at No. 1.

Ella Langley’s Debut Album Returns Its Chart Peak

Hungover debuted on the Top Country Albums list in August 2024, but it did not rise to its No. 5 peak until this January. The unexpected popularity of “Choosin’ Texas” helped build anticipation for Dandelion, but it also caused millions of listeners to return to Hungover – or discover the project for the first time.

Ella Langley Has Charted Only One Other Project

Langley has earned only one other placement on the Top Country Albums chart. Excuse the Mess, an early-career EP that dropped back in 2023, reached the roster for the first time in mid-February – another result of the explosive popularity of “Choosin’ Texas.” The project eventually rose into the top 40 and settled at its No. 39 high point in April.

Ella Langley’s Dandelion Performs Well Everywhere

Dandelion appears on four Billboard charts this week and continues to stand out as a major win on all of them. The set returns to No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and nearly does the same on the Top Streaming Albums ranking, where it rises from No. 3 to No. 2. It also holds steady at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. Only on the Top Album Sales tally does Dandelion lose meaningful ground, slipping from No. 12 to No. 15.

Hungover, meanwhile, appears on three rankings. Even as it rises on the Top Country Albums list, the set declines on the Billboard 200 and the Top Streaming Albums chart.
