As the PGA Tour gears up for another signature event of the season, The Travelers Championship, the game’s best players will be present and hoping to put their name in golf’s record books with a victory at the no-cut event.
The Travelers Championship is held at TPC River Highlands, a Pay 70 course which stretches at just 6,844 yards in length. Signature events are limited field events, but have the game’s biggest names in the field.
However, it’s still important to take a look at the past winners of this event:
Travelers Championship Past Winners
- 2025: Keegan Bradley
- 2024: Scottie Scheffler
- 2023: Keegan Bradley
- 2022: Xander Schauffele
Let’s take a look at who is projected to be contending, based on pre-tournament odds.
2026 Travelers Championship Odds
- Scottie Scheffler (+440)
- Xander Schauffele (+1450)
- Ludvig Aberg (+1700)
- Tommy Fleetwood (+1750)
- Cameron Young (+2000)
When it comes to picks for this event, I like to start with my favorite and long shot picks for the tournament. The favorite pick is the winner pick I like the most. For the long shot winner, that is a golfer who has over +2000 odds to win. It is a long shot pick for a reason, and finding those can be like finding a needle in a haystack.
Here are my favorite and long shot picks for the 2026 Travelers Championship:
Favorite: Scottie Scheffler (+440)
Long Shot: Collin Morikawa (+3000)
Some might scoff at constantly taking Scheffler to win outright, but he has proven he is not just the best player in the world, but capable of winning even when his game isn’t at peak level. Scheffler wasn’t playing his best at the U.S. Open and still finished in the Top 5. He is too good not to win more than one tournament this season, so I think he’ll break through eventually. Might as well be at a tournament he won just two years ago.
The TPC River Highlands is one of the tour’s shorter courses, and that bodes well for a player like Morikawa. If Morikawa can get his iron game dialed in, he’ll have a chance to win this tournament. Getting +3000 odds after already winning once this season feels like a bargain. Morikawa is a good long shot play to win outright.
Top 5 Bets For The Travelers Championship 2026
- Xander Schauffele (+126)
- Matt Fitzpatrick (+370)
Schauffele played well at Shinnecock Hills last weekend at the U.S. Open and has slowly been returning to form after a season filled with injury in 2025. Schauffele finishing in the Top 5 of this limited field event isn’t a crazy thought, and this season has been a season of trends with golfers. Schauffele is trending in the right direction.
Fitzpatrick was one of the hottest golfers on tour earlier this season, but has cooled since his win at the RBC Heritage. Nonetheless, Fitzpatrick is starting to look more like the dominant player than the one who isn’t a factor on Sunday, so getting +370 for a Top 5 finish in this no-cut event felt like a good play.
Top 10 Picks For The Travelers Championship 2026
- Justin Thomas (+220)
- Ludvig Aberg (+150)
Thomas might be one of my “gut picks” based on the fact he hasn’t been a factor much this season thus far. However, Thomas has proven he can compete, and is still returning to form after his back surgery which saw him miss some time earlier this season. Thomas as a Top 10 pick at +220 is a smart play with a positive return if it cashes out.
While Thomas is trying to be in the mix for tournaments, Aberg has been in the mix plenty this season, but can never close the door. With Aberg struggling to put together four quality rounds of golf, keeping him in the Top 10 category feels like the best place for him.
Top 20 Value Picks For The Travelers Championship 2026
- Keegan Bradley (+132)
- Sepp Straka (+192)
How do you not bet Keegan Bradley at The Travelers Championship? He’s won the event twice the last three seasons, last year in dramatic fashion coming from behind to beat Tommy Fleetwood. I am not about to pick Bradley to win, but I suspect he’ll play well and have a solid finish.
Sepp Straka, another player who thrives on shorter courses, is another “gut pick” to finish in the Top 20. Last year he had multiple wins, but this year has been more of a struggle for Straka. Having him at +192 for a Top 20 finish feels like a great play for this limited field event.
Best Prop Bets, Parlays And Bonus Plays For The 2026 Travelers Championship
For bonus plays, these are picks which I don’t necessarily hang my hat on, but still provide value for some who want more exotic plays outside of the aforementioned picks. Sometimes bonus plays are parlays, double chances, triple chances, and even some fun plays for that particular event.
Here are the bonus plays for the 2026 Travelers Championship:
Double Chance: Scottie Scheffler or Min Woo Lee (+400)
Triple Chance: Scottie Scheffler, Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood (+265)
Margin of Victory: 2 Shots (+350)
