‘Wednesday’ Dethroned In Netflix’s Top 10 List By A New Show

While this was inevitable, I will say I was a bit surprised to see it happen this quickly. It seemed like megahit Wednesday could have easily stayed on top of Netflix’s Top 10 list for the gap between season 2 part 1 and season 2 part 2, but that is not the case. Not even two weeks after the show came out, it’s been knocked down off #1.

Technically, this is by two shows, but the first is WWE Monday Night RAW, which does big numbers every Monday. Netflix held it off the previous Monday, but now it’s here at #1. However, Wednesday was also beaten out by Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser, a new reality series focused on the infamous weight loss show.

The documentary is a three-party offering that at 124 minutes, is essentially a two hour movie, which covers a number of contestants on the show, medical professionals commenting on the whole thing and the grand finale about the show shutting down, and how many people gained back all the weight once the rapid weight-loss series ended, despite so many apparent success stories. In an age when shows like 1000-Pound Sisters or My-800 Pound Life are routinely popular, I’m not all that surprised that this has done well so far. The question is whether or not Wednesday will be able to come back and unseat it.
