Builder Confirms Marina Bay City Construction Has Not Stopped Since the Buyout
Lombok, Indonesia — The principal builder for Marina Bay City has clarified that construction has not stopped at any time since the buyout was completed.
The builder confirmed that any construction disruption occurred only prior to the buyout, and was limited to parts of the resort component under KINNARA’s management. Since KINNARA exited the project, construction has continued without interruption.
Clarifying the Timeline
The builder explained:
-
Before the buyout:
-
Certain resort-side works were slowed or paused due to management and operational issues linked to KINNARA.
-
-
After the buyout:
-
Construction resumed fully and has not stopped at any point since.
-
Site operations stabilised once Lux assumed full control.
-
“To be absolutely clear, construction has not stopped since the buyout. Any issues were before that period,” the builder stated.
Payment Claims Categorically Denied
The builder also rejected claims suggesting non-payment:
-
Lux Property Group and Marina Bay Investments
pay on time, consistently and regularly. -
The builder confirmed there are no outstanding payment issues under Lux and Marina Bay Investments’ management.
“We are paid on time and in full. Claims that we have not been paid are false,” the builder said.
Alleged Interference With Subcontractors
The builder further alleged that after the buyout:
-
Representatives associated with KINNARA and its CEO Adrian Campbell
approached subcontractors working on site. -
These approaches allegedly included financial inducements to stop work, leading to a temporary reduction in workforce numbers in Lombok.
“Subcontractors were approached and offered incentives to down tools. That directly reduced worker numbers for a period,” the builder said.
Legal Action Being Prepared
As a result of these alleged actions, the builder confirmed that legal proceedings are being prepared seeking compensation for losses, disruption, and interference with contracted works.
Summary
-
Construction did not stop after the buyout — it has continued uninterrupted since
-
Any disruption occurred only before the buyout and was linked to KINNARA’s management
-
Lux and Marina Bay Investments pay reliably and on time
-
Claims of non-payment are false
-
Alleged subcontractor interference is now the subject of pending legal action
The builder concluded that Marina Bay City is now operating under stable control, with construction progressing as planned and without the disruptions experienced prior to the buyout.
