Elvis Presley Charts Another Hit Album — His Second Of The Year

When an artist has released as much music as Elvis Presley – both during his lifetime and in the decades since his passing – sometimes new offerings can fly under the radar, even when the talent is as beloved as he is to this day. The music industry occasionally returns to the idea of budget releases, those that are typically not bolstered by huge PR and advertising campaigns, but which appeal largely to superfans of a certain act. These kinds of projects were popular in the ’60s and then fell out of fashion for a while, though there is still a place for them, even if they are not as huge as they once were.

Presley returns to the charts in the United Kingdom this week with a new budget offering titled Love Songs. The three-CD set (which is also available on vinyl) features many of the rock and roll pioneer’s biggest hits – all centered around love, of course – and it immediately becomes another bestseller for the late superstar.

Elvis Presley Debuts a New Album on Two Charts

Love Songs debuts on the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales charts in the U.K. this week, starting its time on those lists at Nos. 49 and 53, respectively. The two rankings are closely related, though not identical, as the former focuses specifically on albums purchased in a physical format, while the latter also incorporates digital sales.

Elvis Presley Reaches 70 Physical Albums Wins

The arrival of Love Songs brings Presley to a milestone 70 career wins on the Official Physical Albums chart. He has collected a little more than half as many hits on the Official Albums Sales ranking, where the new compilation becomes his thirty-ninth entry. The latter roster is busier and more competitive, so it is not surprising that Presley has accumulated fewer titles on that tally – though 39 appearances is still an impressive total compared to what most artists will manage during their careers.

Elvis Presley Has Scored Two New Albums in 2026

Love Songs is Presley’s second title to debut on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts this year. Back in March, EPiC – Elvis Presley in Concert, which was connected to the performance film of the same name that reached cinemas around the world, arrived on both lists. That project climbed as high as No. 5 on the two purchase-focused rankings.

Elvis Presley Has Charted With Several Love Collections

The new Love Songs should not be confused with another Presley collection titled Love Songs, which reached both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts in 2019. Notably, that earlier project peaked only slightly lower on the physical ranking than where the new release begins its time this week.

Several other Presley compilations built around romantic material have also become bestsellers in the U.K. throughout the years. Always on My Mind – Ultimate Love Songs and The 50 Greatest Love Songs are among them, and those collections peaked at Nos. 3 and 21, respectively.

EPiC – Elvis Presley in Concert Holds On

EPiC – Elvis Presley in Concert now appears on only one U.K. ranking, even though it debuted on multiple tallies earlier this spring. The set dips one position to No. 22 on the Official Soundtrack Albums chart, where it has now lived for just over half a year.

That sum makes EPiC Presley’s second-longest-charting title on the soundtrack roster. Only Elvis by the Presleys has managed more time on the ranking. That collection reached a milestone 40 frames and stopped charting.
