Brock Lesnar Returns On WWE Raw (May 18, 2026) | Key Points

• Brock Lesnar returned to WWE, interrupting Oba Femi’s latest open challenge. Lesnar laid out Oba with four F5s.
• Brock Lesnar has signed a contract for a match against Oba Femi at Clash in Italy. Paul Heyman handed over the contract to Adam Pearce and is awaiting Oba Femi’s signature.

Brock Lesnar returned on WWE Raw and attacked Oba Femi as Oba prepared for his latest Oba Femi Open Challenge. Last week, due to a lack of willing participants, Oba Femi was forced to go to the back himself and snatch up, not one, but two challengers in the form of Angel and Berto (Los Garzas). With Oba suitors running thin, there were questions of whether or not any challenger would step to the plate at all this week. That question was partially answered with the biggest challenge of Oba Femi’s career as Brock Lesnar jumped Oba from behind during his entrance.

Lesnar laid Oba out with four F5s, emphatically returning after it was strongly suggested he was retired. WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce even admitted he had (kayfabe) filed Brock’s retirement paperwork, only for Paul Heyman to present Pearce with a signed contract for a rematch at Clash in Italy.

I was initially skeptical of Lesnar’s retirement since Gunther has all but trademarked the elusive retirement match. For now, Lesnar is back, reinstated and expected to face Oba Femi in another singles match following their exhilarating clash at to open WrestleMania 42 on ESPN. Oba made quick work of Lesnar, and many grown, adult wrestling fans who should know better were fooled because Brock threw up the vaunted “X” sign.

Though Lesnar and Femi’s feud is set to continue, this also opens the door for Lesnar’s actual retirement match, which is likely to happen at WWE SummerSlam in Brock’s hometown of Minnesota. Gunther remains the favorite for that spot. Heyman already insisted he cashed in on his favor to Gunther after getting him a match against WWE champion Cody Rhodes, but Gunther has yet to confirm this himself.
