Some musicians like to space their concert tours years apart from one another, but not Benson Boone. The pop singer finished his American Heart World Tour in November of last year, and he kicks off another run this month, beginning in New York City at the Barclays Center. Boone has dates scheduled into mid-November, by which point he may have dropped several singles and perhaps even another album.

In late June, Boone returned with “The Time of My Life,” a song that many expect to be the first taste of his third, as-yet-unannounced full-length. In the United Kingdom, “The Time of My Life” is a quick hit, thanks largely to fans purchasing the track, and the Grammy-nominated star even manages to collect a new top 10 smash.

Benson Boone Debuts “The Time of My Life” Inside the Top 10

“The Time of My Life” debuts on three tallies across the Atlantic, but it only reaches the top 10 on one. On this week’s Official Singles Downloads roster, Boone’s latest arrives at No. 6.

Benson Boone Scores His Third Top 10 Bestseller

Boone scores his third bestseller on the Official Singles Downloads chart as “The Time of My Life” launches. The brand new cut is already his second highest-ranking win, trailing only “Beautiful Things.” That breakout win, which is still his most successful composition, failed to dominate by just one space.

“The Time of My Life” grabs the honor of being Boone’s second highest-rising smash on the list of the most-downloaded songs in the U.K. from “Mystical Magical.” That single, one of the last pushed from his sophomore album American Heart, topped out at No. 9.

“The Time of My Life” Misses the Top Tier on Another Chart

“The Time of My Life” nearly becomes a top 10 success on two charts, but it doesn’t quite make it to the highest tier on the Official Singles Sales roster. On that rundown, which is built using sales data from digital storefronts like iTunes, as well as purchases by fans on CD, cassette and vinyl, Boone’s new release opens at No. 11. Coincidentally, it is his eleventh hit.

“The Time of My Life” is the singer-songwriter’s third highest-ranking smash on the downloads list, trailing “Beautiful Things” and “Mystical Magical,” which peaked at Nos. 2 and 10, respectively.

“Beautiful Things” Remains a Major Hit in the U.K.

Boone may be all in on promoting “The Time of My Life,” but fans in the U.K. have not forgotten “Beautiful Things.” The tune, which is two and a half years old, outperforms “The Time of My Life” on the Official Singles chart, aven as it declines. “Beautiful Things” drops one peg to No. 73, landing just ahead of the No. 75 starting point that “The Time of My Life” manages this time around.

“Beautiful Things” also climbs on the only other British rundown on which it appears, the Official Streaming chart. The global blockbuster is a top 40 smash once more as it ascends from No. 43 to No. 38. Tellingly, while “Beautiful Things” is one of the most-streamed tunes in the U.K., “The Time of My Life” does not appear on that ranking – at least not yet.

Benson Boone Charts One Of the Sturdiest Hits in the U.K.

With 126 weeks on the Official Singles chart, “Beautiful Things” is currently the seventh longest-running smash on the busiest songs roster. “Beautiful Things” sits one frame behind Noah Kahan’s “Stick Season,” which returns this time around.

Here are the longest-charting hits on the current edition of the Official Singles chart.

  • 512 weeks – The Killers – “Mr. Brightside”
  • 223 weeks – Goo Goo Dolls – “Iris”
  • 175 weeks – Fleetwood Mac – “Dreams”
  • 157 weeks – Fleetwood Mac – “Everywhere”
  • 136 weeks – Teddy Swims – “Lose Control”
  • 127 weeks – Noah Kahan – “Stick Season”
  • 126 weeks – Benson Boone – “Beautiful Things”
