In only a few years, Gracie Abrams has graduated from being an underground singer-songwriter to one of the biggest musical stars in the world. She released her first full-length, Good Riddance, in February 2023, and now she’s conquering albums charts in some of the largest music markets on the planet.

Daughter from Hell, Abrams’s third full-length, opens at No. 1 in both the United States and the United Kingdom. The project nearly manages a clean sweep of chart-topping debuts across the British tallies on which it launches this week, but it misses out on a perfect showing by only one roster.

Gracie Abrams Debuts at No. 1 on Five U.K. Charts

Daughter from Hell launches atop five of the six rankings on which it appears in the U.K. The set opens at No. 1 on the Official Albums, Official Albums Sales, Official Album Downloads, Official Physical Albums and Official Vinyl Albums charts.

Gracie Abrams Misses a Clean Sweep Thanks to One Tally

Abrams falls short of debuting at No. 1 everywhere only due to her set’s starting position on the Official Albums Streaming chart. Daughter from Hell launches at No. 3 on the ranking, which focuses on the most-streamed full-lengths and EPs throughout the U.K.

While she fails to conquer the tally, Abrams does reach a new career high. Daughter from Hell marks her third placement and second top 10 on the Official Albums Streaming chart. The Secret of Us previously ranked as her loftiest success, as it topped out at No. 4. That project spent exactly two years on the streaming-only roster. Good Riddance managed a much shorter run and lower peak, appearing for only one frame at No. 63.

Michael Jackson Blocks Gracie Abrams From No. 1

Abrams is beaten by two global hitmakers on the Official Albums Streaming chart. Michael Jackson’s The Essential holds at No. 1, preventing Daughter from Hell from completing its sweep.

Jackson’s compilation has spent more than 200 periods on the roster, including nine at the summit. The Essential first rose to No. 1 in May following the release of the biopic Michael, and it has largely dominated since then, never falling beneath the runner-up position.

Olivia Rodrigo’s You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love remains at No. 2. The singer-songwriter’s latest debuted atop the Official Albums Streaming chart six weeks ago and spent two frames running the show. It then backtracked to second place and has held in that rung ever since.

Gracie Abrams Scores a Second Main Albums Chart Leader

Daughter from Hell gives Abrams her second No. 1 on four of those five lists. She doubles her career count of champions on the Official Albums, Official Albums Sales, Official Physical Albums and Official Vinyl Albums charts.

The one ranking on which Daughter from Hell manages a truly special and new achievement for the star is the Official Album Downloads chart. The project becomes the Grammy nominee’s first No. 1 — and her first top 10 — on the list.

The Secret of Us previously brought her closest to the uppermost region, but it peaked at No. 15. Good Riddance performed considerably worse, reaching only No. 77 after debuting in the spring of 2023.
