Los Angeles Rams Gift LA28 Community Ticket Program
Sean McVay had just wrapped up the Los Angeles Rams’ first open training camp practice of 2026 when he traded his whistle for oversized Olympic tickets.
Standing alongside LA28 officials, Rams executives, nonprofit leaders, and dozens of young Angelenos gathered at Loyola Marymount University, McVay helped unveil the first recipients of the LA28 Community Ticket Program—a moment that represented far more than admission to a sporting event. It marked the beginning of a commitment to ensure the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games belong not only to the world’s greatest athletes, but also to all the communities that make up the city of Los Angeles.
Follow Through On A $5,000,000 Gift in 2025
The ceremony marked the first phase of the program, with LA28 and the Rams announcing that 1,000 complimentary Olympic and Paralympic tickets will be distributed to youth and families through 10 nonprofit organizations serving communities throughout Los Angeles. The tickets are made possible through the Rams’ inaugural $5 million commitment to the Community Ticket Program, an investment designed to ensure that Angelenos from every neighborhood have the opportunity to experience the Games.
For a city preparing to welcome the world in the summer of 2028, the announcement offered an early glimpse of what organizers hope will become one of LA28’s defining legacies: making the Olympic and Paralympic experience accessible to all the people who live in the region.
For McVay, the initiative reflects the type of community investment that has become central to the Rams’ identity under Owner and Chairman Stan Kroenke.

“The Rams are excited to be able to partner up with LA28,” McVay said following practice. “We’ve partnered with 10 nonprofits, given 100 tickets to each of these nonprofits—1,000 total. One of the cool things about this organization, starting with Mr. Kroenke, is he’s always interested in seeing how we can use this platform to give back, be a part of this community, make positive impacts and be a part of positive change.”
McVay later joined representatives from the nonprofit organizations and young participants for photographs and conversations, reinforcing the personal connection behind the initiative. For the Rams head coach, the afternoon was not simply another community appearance—it was an opportunity to demonstrate how professional sports can create experiences that last far beyond the playing field.
The announcement transformed the Rams’ financial pledge, first made in November 2025, into one of the earliest visible legacies of the LA28 Games.

Nonprofit Ticket Recipients
The inaugural recipients—A Place Called Home, After-School All-Stars, Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles, Brotherhood Crusade, Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA), Project Blue, Social Justice Learning Institute, Swim Up Hill, and the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles—were selected for their longstanding commitment to empowering young people throughout the region. Each organization will receive 100 tickets to distribute directly among participants and families within their programs.

Recipients will attend either Olympic Flag Football, making its historic debut at LA28, or Olympic Swimming, which will take place inside 2028 Stadium, the Rams’ home and one of the most anticipated Olympic venues of the Games.
