Progressives in big swing state races have seen mixed primary election results over the past two weeks. Just one week after Abdul El-Sayed beat the more establishment candidate, Congresswoman Haley Stevens (D-MI), in Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary, democratic socialist state Rep. Francesca Hong narrowly lost in the Wisconsin gubernatorial primary to the more moderate candidate, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley. Republican strategist and Executive Director of Principles First Brittany Martinez joined “Forbes Newsroom” to discuss her takeaways from the primary results.
