Progressives in big swing state races have seen mixed primary election results over the past two weeks. Just one week after Abdul El-Sayed beat the more establishment candidate, Congresswoman Haley Stevens (D-MI), in Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary, democratic socialist state Rep. Francesca Hong narrowly lost in the Wisconsin gubernatorial primary to the more moderate candidate, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.
