Whether looking specifically within the United States or internationally, Ariana Grande’s new single, “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” is an unqualified and immediate success. The track debuts at No. 1 on several Billboard rankings, including the Billboard Hot 100, Digital Song Sales and both worldwide tallies. The singer and actress lands yet another leader on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S., and as she conquers the former rundown, which details the most-consumed tracks all around the planet, Grande breaks her tie with one hitmaker and advances on the list of the most successful acts of all time on the half-decade-old register.

Ariana Grande Scores Her Fifth Global Leader

“Hate That I Made You Love Me” earns Grande her fifth No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200. She first reached the highest space only a few months after the chart company introduced the tally, when “Positions” launched at the summit in November 2020. The following year, Grande, alongside frequent collaborator the Weeknd, soared to the peak position with “Save Your Tears.” Grande doubled her total number of winners thanks to her last album, Eternal Sunshine, which saw both lead singles, “Yes, And?” as well as “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love),” start inside the highest rung.

Ariana Grande Passes Olivia Rodrigo

Before this week, Grande was tied with Olivia Rodrigo, as both women had racked up four champions. Rodrigo claimed her fourth leader only last month when “Drop Dead,” the lead single from her just-released album You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, opened at No. 1. It joined previous winners “Drivers License,” “Good 4 U” and “Vampire.”

Ariana Grande Matches Bad Bunny

Grande now sits side-by-side with Bad Bunny, who has similarly collected five rulers on the Billboard Global 200. The Latin superstar began his streak in the same month as Grande, back in November 2020. At that time, he teamed up with Jhay Cortez, and the two sent “Dakiti” to the top spot, where it held for three weeks.

In 2023, a trio of tracks from the Puerto Rican rapper – “Un x100to” with Grupo Frontera, “Where She Goes” and “Monaco” – all spent short stints at No. 1. Last year, “DTMF” conquered the roster only a week after debuting, and it would go on to spend five frames – Bunny’s longest reign – at the summit.

BTS Continues to Lead the Global Ranking

BTS claims the most champions among all acts on the Billboard Global 200 with eight No. 1s. That figure grew earlier in 2026 with “Swim,” the first promotional cut taken from the group’s comeback album Arirang.

Taylor Swift sits in second place with half a dozen leaders, just one ahead of both Grande and Bunny. The singer-songwriter may increase that total and inch closer to the South Korean boy band’s all-time record in a few days. Her latest single, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” written and recorded for Toy Story 5, got off to a fantastic start when it was released a little more than a week ago, and it could very well launch in impressive positions across a variety of Billboard charts.

“Hate That I Made You Love Me” Rules Multiple Charts

“Hate That I Made You Love Me” debuts on 10 Billboard charts this week, and it manages to conquer four of them. “Hate That I Made You Love Me” is the biggest tune in the world when including American consumption, and also when excluding it, as the pop singer is one of the most famous names in the music industry at the moment. She earns her fourth No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., as well as her milestone tenth on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Digital Song Sales rundown.
