Ariana Grande only has a few dates left on her short but hugely successful Eternal Sunshine Tour. The venture was planned to promote her album Eternal Sunshine, which dropped in March 2024, but since it began, she has delivered another full-length, Petal. That set debuted at No. 1 on charts seemingly everywhere less than a month ago and is still going strong.
The final shows on the Eternal Sunshine Tour are all set to be held at London’s O2 Arena. Grande began her run there on August 15, and the last date is September 1. Since returning to the United Kingdom, Grande’s performance on the charts has improved significantly. Multiple albums return together, several of her most popular tracks become bestsellers again, and one recent release climbs to a new all-time high.
Three Ariana Grande Songs Become Bestsellers Again
Three Grande songs break back onto the Official Physical Singles chart this week. “34+35,” “Twilight Zone” and “The Girl in the Bubble” reenter at Nos. 24, 52 and 78, respectively. At the same time, “Petal” surges from No. 13 to No. 5, returning to its previously-established peak on the physical-only sales roster.
Of Grande’s three comebacks, only “34+35” appears anywhere else. The longtime fan favorite also returns to the Official Vinyl Singles ranking, where it lands at No. 21.
Ariana Grande Scores a Trio of Smashes on the Main Singles List
Artists are generally limited to three entries at a time as lead acts on the Official Singles chart, the most important songs ranking in the U.K., which measures total consumption. The Official Charts Company established that rule nearly a decade ago, and Grande fills all three available spaces this week.
As her two most recent Petal singles, “Hate That I Made You Love Me” and the title track, continue to perform well at Nos. 6 and 13, respectively, “Kiss Me” returns at No. 71. That cut debuted at No. 15, then disappeared, and now earns only its second frame on the tally.
Ariana Grande’s “Petal” Reaches a New Vinyl Chart Peak
“Petal” appears on six U.K. charts this week, falling on half and climbing on the other three. The track returns to its No. 5 high on the Official Physical Singles ranking while reaching a new peak on the Official Vinyl Singles chart. On that closely-related roster, the song vaults from No. 9 to No. 3. It also inches upward on the Official Singles Sales tally, while declining on the Official Singles, Official Streaming and Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles rosters.
Ariana Grande Has Never Missed the Vinyl Chart’s Top 10
Grande has now placed 19 songs on the Official Vinyl Singles chart, and they are all top 10 smashes. Amazingly, none of them have peaked lower than No. 6. As “Petal” rises to No. 3, it ties several other Grande classics that have reached the same position, including “One Last Time,” “Defying Gravity” with her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo, “Twilight Zone” and “Supernatural.” Grande has conquered the ranking five times, as “Yes, And?,” “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love),” “Dandelion,” “34+35” and “Hate That I Made You Love Me” have all spent time at No. 1.
All Eight Ariana Grande Albums Chart in the U.K.
All eight of Grande’s studio albums land somewhere on the U.K. charts this week. Only Petal has no need to return to any roster, while the other seven reappear on at least one list.
Eternal Sunshine surges on several rankings and returns to the Official Vinyl Albums chart, while My Everything, Dangerous Woman, Thank U, Next, Sweetener and Yours Truly all break back onto every tally where they can be found. Positions also enjoys a huge week, reentering several lists while rocketing from No. 93 to No. 13 on the Official Physical Albums chart.
