Weeks before Petal drops, Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine returns to multiple charts in the U.K. as “Hate That I Made You Love Me” nearly surges back to No. 1. In a little more than two weeks, Ariana Grande will release her new album Petal, her eighth full-length. The singer began promoting the set earlier this year with lead single “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” which dropped in late May. The tune remains a big hit all around the world, and fans of the Grammy winner in the United Kingdom continue to stream and purchase the track in large numbers, keeping it in lofty positions on multiple charts.
As the world continues to focus on “Hate That I Made You Love Me” in anticipation of Petal, Grande’s previous album Eternal Sunshine mounts something of a comeback. The project becomes a surprise bestseller shortly before Petal likely launches at No. 1 on multiple rankings in the country.
Eternal Sunshine Returns to Two Sales Charts
Eternal Sunshine, Grande’s seventh LP, appears on four rankings in the U.K., and it returns to half of them. This time around, Eternal Sunshine is back on the Official Physical Albums chart at No. 90. The set barely manages to find space on the Official Albums Sales tally, as it lands in last place at No. 100. The Official Albums Sales roster details the top-selling titles of any genre via digital download, as well as purchases on CD, cassette, and vinyl, while the Official Physical Albums rundown excludes purchases on platforms such as iTunes.

Eternal Sunshine Reappears After Only a Few Weeks Away
Eternal Sunshine has only been missing from the two rosters for a few weeks. The last time the Grammy-nominated project was seen on either the Official Albums Sales or Official Physical Albums charts was on the ranking dated June 25.
Eternal Sunshine Falls on Two Competitive Tallies
This frame, Eternal Sunshine also lives on another two hugely competitive albums charts across the Atlantic, but as it returns to multiple sales rosters, it drops on the others on which it can be found. Eternal Sunshine dips from No. 68 to No. 73 on the Official Albums chart, the ranking of the most-consumed projects in the country. At the same time, it slides from No. 73 to No. 78 on the Official Albums Streaming list, which is built using only data from platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and others.
Eternal Sunshine Is Ariana Grande’s Longest-Charting Album
As it earns another turn on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts, Eternal Sunshine extends its lead as Grande’s longest-running title. It’s now up to 56 frames on the general sales rundown and 61 on the physical-only tally.
Dangerous Woman stands out as the singer-songwriter’s second-longest-charting release on the Official Albums Sales roster, with 44 frames on the tally to its credit. Over on the physical albums rundown, it is My Everything that holds that distinction. Grande’s sophomore release held on for 49 periods.
Eternal Sunshine Trails Three Ariana Grande Albums
Eternal Sunshine has already cracked triple-digit weeks on both the Official Albums and Official Albums Streaming charts, but unlike on the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums rankings, it is far from her sturdiest winner on the most competitive albums tally in the U.K. Eternal Sunshine comes in behind Dangerous Woman and My Everything, which racked up 116 and 105 stays on the roster, respectively.
Eternal Sunshine, Grande’s most recent set, is about to make it to two years as one of the 100 most-streamed collections in the U.K., a feat it will likely hit in only a matter of days. My Everything, Dangerous Woman, and Thank U, Next have lived on the list for longer stretches, managing 202, 159, and 107 weeks on the streaming chart, respectively.

Eternal Sunshine is Grande’s only charting album in the U.K. this frame, and “Hate That I Made You Love Me” is her only hit song. The lead Petal single appears on half a dozen rosters, and it remains a top 40 smash on each and every one of them.
“Hate That I Made You Love Me” only climbs on the Official Singles chart, the busiest of the bunch, as it ascends from No. 5 to No. 3, nearly managing a return to the throne. The tune does hold in sixth place – just three spots beneath its all-time high – on the Official Streaming tally.
Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me” drops on four distinct sales rosters, but it remains a strong seller on the Official Vinyl Singles, Official Physical Singles, Official Singles Downloads, and Official Singles Sales lists, declining to Nos. 19, 20, 27, and 28, respectively.
