Billionaire Michael Dell Donates $750 Million For Univ. Of Texas Medical Center

Michael Dell and his wife Susan are set to make a $750 million donation to the University of Texas in Austin to fund a new medical facility and research campus he says will be built with “data and computing and AI built in.”

The donation will fund a new hospital, called the UT Dell Medical Center, open in 2030 as part of a partnership with the MD Anderson Cancer Center, the university said Tuesday.

Dell, who founded Dell Technologies in 1984 while a student at the University of Texas in Austin, has now given more than $1 billion to the school.
