Several songs and albums that Americans view as patriotic – or which are simply centered around the United States, summer, or anything that feels timely – surge in popularity every year around the Fourth of July. This year’s holiday sends quite a few familiar favorites back to the Billboard charts, while a number of older titles manage to debut on rankings they’d never reached before.
Bruce Springsteen benefits from the renewed attention with both Born in the U.S.A. and the full-length’s title track. The album appears on three charts this week, including two rock-focused lists where it launches for the first time, decades after it became one of the most successful releases of the singer-songwriter’s career.
Born in the U.S.A. Debuts on Two of Billboard’s Rock Charts
Born in the U.S.A. debuts on both the Top Rock Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts this time around. The full-length opens at No. 14 on the former and No. 16 on the latter.
The classic becomes Springsteen’s twenty-sixth career appearance on both rosters. Somewhat surprisingly, Born in the U.S.A. had never previously reached either tally, as the two charts were introduced years after the album first became a blockbuster.

Born in the U.S.A. marks Springsteen’s first debut on the two rock albums charts in 2026, though less than a year has passed since he last sent new titles to the rankings. A pair of projects by the musician arrived in 2025.
Tracks II: The Lost Albums launched in July of last year. The box set collects seven previously unreleased full-lengths recorded by Springsteen between 1983 and 2018. Several months later, Nebraska debuted in November around the release of the Springsteen biopic starring Jeremy Strong.

Most of Bruce Springsteen’s Rock Albums Have Hit the Top 10
Of Springsteen’s 26 appearances on both the Top Rock Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts, 17 have reached the top 10. Nearly two-thirds of all the projects he has placed on the lists have broken into the uppermost tier. Springsteen has conquered both lists with eight collections
Born in the U.S.A. Returns to the Billboard 200
As it debuts on the two rock-focused rosters, Born in the U.S.A. also returns to the Billboard 200, landing at No. 69. The company’s main albums chart details the most-consumed full-lengths and EPs in the country each week and combines traditional purchases, streaming activity and individual track sales, though the latter usually makes up only a tiny portion of overall units shifted.
Born in the U.S.A. extends its lead as Springsteen’s longest-charting release as it reappears on the list. The ‘80s classic has now spent 145 weeks somewhere on the Billboard 200. The album debuted in June 1984 and reached No. 1 only two weeks later.
Springsteen’s bestseller eventually spent seven weeks atop the competitive tally. Born in the U.S.A. remains tied as his longest reigning project, matched with Live/1975–85, which also dominated for seven periods two years later.
Bruce Springsteen Has Scored Double-Digit No. 1 Albums
Exactly 44 albums credited to Springsteen have appeared on the Billboard 200. That roundup includes solo projects and releases that also name the E Street Band alongside the singer-songwriter. Half of those titles, 22, have climbed into the top 10. Exactly half of that smaller group have gone all the way, as Springsteen has collected 11 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 throughout his career.

“Born in the U.S.A.” Becomes a Top 10 Smash Again
The song “Born in the U.S.A.” also returns to several Billboard charts following July Fourth celebrations, as the current rankings reflect consumption during a tracking frame that included July 4. The smash breaks into the top 10 on both the Digital Song Sales and Rock Streaming Songs rosters for the first time, reaching new peaks of Nos. 8 and 5, respectively. “Born in the U.S.A.” becomes Springsteen’s second top 10 on each ranking. The decades-old single also reenters the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 36.
The holiday favorite debuts at No. 30 on the all-genre Streaming Songs chart this time around. “Born in the U.S.A.” gives Springsteen his first career appearance on the ranking, which tracks the most-streamed songs of any style throughout the nation.
