Bruno Mars is a tried and true hitmaker across multiple genres. Throughout his career, he has succeeded in both pop and R&B, and much of his popularity stems from the fact that many of his biggest tracks fit comfortably under both labels. Fans of different styles can embrace the same songs, while radio stations dedicated to either format can often support whatever single he is promoting.
Mars returned this year with The Romantic, his first solo album in just under a decade. Like all of his previous full-lengths, the project has produced multiple smash singles. Its second official cut, “Risk It All,” nearly conquers one of the most competitive airplay tallies in the United States this frame, but one of the biggest names in K-pop keeps Mars from collecting another leader.
Jennie Keeps Bruno Mars From Another No. 1
The Pop Airplay chart is controlled once more by “Dracula,” a collaboration between Tame Impala and Jennie. The song earns a third week at No. 1 during its thirty-fifth frame on the 40-position ranking.
“Dracula” originated as a solo recording by Kevin Parker, who writes and records music under the Tame Impala moniker. The track became a much larger global success after Blackpink star Jennie added her vocals and celebrity to a remix. The collaboration became the first Pop Airplay No. 1 for both Tame Impala and Jennie only a short time ago.
“I Just Might” Matches the No. 2 Peak “Lighters” Reached
“Risk It All” is now only the second Bruno Mars single to peak at No. 2 on the Pop Airplay chart – though its run is not over yet. It matches “Lighters,” his collaboration with Bad Meets Evil, a hip-hop superduo made up of Eminem and Royce da 5’9”. “Lighters” stopped in the runner-up position in 2011.
Bruno Mars Could Score a Thirteenth No. 1 Very Soon
Should “Risk It All” rise one more space, it will become Mars’s lucky thirteenth Pop Airplay champion. He already claims the second-most No. 1 hits in the ranking’s history, behind only Taylor Swift, who has accumulated 15 – a figure she has upped with multiple recent wins.
Mars currently owns 12 leaders. That figure places him one smash ahead of Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Rihanna. All four of those acts are tied for third place on the all-time roster with 11 No. 1 singles apiece.

Mars has already added one Pop Airplay leader to his career total in 2026. “I Just Might” debuted on the chart in January and reached No. 1 two months later.
The lead single from The Romantic ultimately ruled for six weeks. That run tied “Uptown Funk,” Mars’s Grammy-winning collaboration with Mark Ronson, as his longest stay atop the ranking.
Bruno Mars Claims Two Top 10s on This Week’s Pop Airplay Roster
Mars fills two spaces on the Pop Airplay chart this period. “I Just Might,” which recently celebrated six months on the tally, holds at No. 6 as “Risk It All” advances to No. 2. He is the only artist with two hits inside the current roster’s top 10.
