For half a year, Bruno Mars’s “I Just Might” has ranked as one of the biggest songs in America. The superstar released the tune in early 2026 before dropping The Romantic, his first solo collection in almost a decade. The single immediately became another major win for the superstar, as does every track that fronts one of his albums.
Even after Mars moved on to promoting “Risk It All,” “I Just Might” continued to perform extremely well, especially on radio stations throughout the United States. This frame, the cut nearly conquers one of the three pop-focused airplay rankings published by Billboard, but one of the longest-running No. 1 hits in the history of the tally keeps it from finally claiming the summit.
“I Just Might” Reaches a New Adult Contemporary Chart Peak
“I Just Might” steps up one space to No. 2 on the Adult Contemporary chart, establishing a new all-time high. The track reaches the runner-up position in its twenty-sixth week on the roster – after half a year on the tally – which is known as one of the slower-moving radio rankings in America.
Alex Warren Blocks Bruno Mars from Another No. 1
Mars comes within one rung of earning another leader, but Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” refuses to vacate the top spot. The smash spends a thirty-seventh week at No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart, extending one of the longest reigns the ranking has ever seen.
“Ordinary” Breaks a Historic Tie
With another frame in charge, “Ordinary” stands alone as the sole third-longest-running No. 1 in the history of the Adult Contemporary chart. Warren’s hit breaks out of a tie with Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You,” which ruled for 36 weeks beginning in 2018. Now, that cut – which is largely known as a collaboration with Cardi B, though AC stations didn’t always play that version – slips to fourth place on the all-time list.
Only two songs have spent more time atop the ranking. Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers” remains the longest-running leader, with 57 weeks at No. 1. Teddy Swims’s “Lose Control” follows with a 49-frame stint in charge.
Bruno Mars Has Ruled the Adult Contemporary Chart Twice
Only two Mars singles have reached No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart, which is a fairly small number for one of the most successful acts in radio history. “Just the Way You Are” became his first leader and spent 20 weeks in charge beginning in February 2011. Two years later, “When I Was Your Man” gave him a second champion. That ballad managed a much shorter reign, holding the summit for two frames.
“I Just Might” Remains a Top 10 Hit Across the Pop Radio Lists
As “I Just Might” celebrates 26 weeks on all three of Billboard’s pop radio charts, it remains inside the top 10 on each and every one of them. The track holds at No. 2 on the Adult Pop Airplay list after previously reaching No. 1. On the Pop Airplay tally, “I Just Might” rises from No. 7 to No. 6. The single also ruled that rundown earlier in its run.

“I Just Might” appears on 12 Billboard charts this week, and it occupies the top 10 on almost every one of them. The single leads the highly-competitive Radio Songs register for a twenty-first week, standing out as one of the longest rulers ever. The cut also returns to No. 1 on both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot R&B Songs charts, which are built using not only airplay data, but also sales and streams.
