Dayoung x Jay Park’s “FLIRTY”
Starship Entertainment / MORE VISION
K-pop darling Dayoung is the queen of summer anthems.
Last year’s “body,” which was released in September, was the dance anthem for the end of summer. The music, lyrics, performance, and choreography were addictive and fun – and earned her a win on South Korean music shows. Now, she releases a new summer hit, “FLIRTY.” This time, she collaborated with singer/rapper, producer, and music mogul Jay Park on the track that is both fun and seductive.
This is their first collaboration together – and honestly, the title fits perfectly with the energy felt from the song and the artists. Dayoung and Park have infectious chemistry, as they have both always been known individually as sexy and playful performers (without even trying).
“FLIRTY” is a blend of R&B, dance, and contemporary pop that fits the summer club scene. The lyrics showcase the flirty, carefree relationship of two people who find themselves attracted to each other and just having fun. The music video, set in an outdoor bar area, highlights the nightlife and sets up the attraction between Dayoung and Park.
Though this was their first official collaboration, the pair have worked together before. Dayoung made a surprise appearance during Park’s 2025 Melon Music Awards performance of “Keep It Sexy.” From there, the official collab seemed to be set in motion as she appeared alongside him again during his recent Waterbomb Seoul performance on July 25 – which was followed by a teaser image of the two’s track.
Since the release of the song, Dayoung and Park have been on a whirlwind of promotional social posts and Korean music shows, showcasing their talent – and chemistry. The pair have released behind-the-scenes videos and moments shared between the two, which display their actual friendship. Dayoung jokes during one of the videos that she’s actually drinking his soju brand, Won Soju. During the same video, the director tells Park and Dayoung to get even closer, which he hesitates to do, even cupping his hand when he wraps his arms around her for the scene.

Written by Dayoung, she reveals she has always pictured Park as the other voice for the song. She says, “I told myself, ‘If it’s not his voice, I’d rather sing it by myself.’ That’s how determined I was. When he agreed to do it, I was so grateful.” Park says he would have only agreed to work with her. Throughout the video, they remain professional, but have moments with playful jokes and banter between the two.
Park has been busy in the music scene as he leads his label More Vision, and the label’s first rookie boy group, LNGSHOT. Park has been working on his own music and performances, gearing up for his own concerts at the end of August in Seoul, and a possible tour.
Dayoung x Jay Park’s “FLIRTY” is available on all streaming platforms.
