Drake Ties BTS’s Run At No. 1

Less than a month ago, Drake’s new album Iceman conquered the Billboard 200 with one of the largest starting figures of 2026. The highly anticipated set opened with 463,000 equivalent units shifted, and amazingly, it wasn’t the Canadian rapper’s only win that week.

Drake shocked the world hours before Iceman arrived by announcing that he had three full-lengths ready to share. Habibti and Maid of Honour launched at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, coming in just behind Iceman on the Billboard 200. The hip-hop superstar became the first artist in the more than half-century-long history of Billboard‘s look at the most-consumed albums in the nation to occupy the highest three spaces simultaneously.

Since Iceman arrived at No. 1, the album has yet to slip from the Billboard 200’s summit. As Drake rules once again, he ties another two musical powerhouses for the longest run in first place on the hugely competitive roster so far this year.

Drake Ties BTS and Noah Kahan’s Runs at No. 1

With three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 now to its credit, Iceman ties Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide and Arirang by BTS as the longest-ruling titles so far this year. Arirang was the first set to manage a trio of stints at the summit, and it dominated the Billboard 200 throughout much of April. Arirang is the only album that scored a larger debut than Iceman, and it remains the sole project to launch with more than half a million copies, as it started at No. 1 with 641,000 equivalent units moved in its first seven days of availability. The Great Divide, meanwhile, kicked off its time on the chart with 389,000 units shifted.

Iceman’s Third Week Figure Is Huge

While Iceman did not manage to claim the most impressive launch of the year, its second and third weeks turned out to be more impressive than those connected to either Arirang or The Great Divide. In its second frame of availability, Iceman shifted 225,000 equivalent units. Neither Arirang nor The Great Divide pushed 200,000 copies in more than their debut frames.

In week three, Iceman racked up another 171,000 equivalent units. That’s more than the 132,000 that The Great Divide managed, and it’s bigger – by nearly 50,000 copies – than the 124,000 units the latest from BTS accomplished in its third tracking frame.

Drake Passes Taylor Swift and Harry Styles

Last week, Iceman was tied with several other albums with two weeks ruling the Billboard 200. Now, as it holds on, Drake’s latest breaks its match with Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl, which commanded the tally for the first two periods of 2026, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally by Harry Styles and Ella Langley’s first champion, Dandelion.

Drake Rules Four Billboard Charts

Three weeks into its time on the Billboard charts, Iceman has yet to slip from the throne on any of the four rosters it still inhabits. In addition to the Billboard 200, Drake continues to rule the Top Streaming Albums, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums rankings.

Iceman did not reach No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart, as it was initially only made available to purchase via digital download. The set opened at No. 5 and managed just one frame as one of the top-selling releases in the country. If it is eventually pressed onto vinyl, it may become a bestseller again, and perhaps debut on the Vinyl Albums tally as well.
