Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen have only collaborated once, but their sole duet is a major hit. “I Can’t Love You Anymore” dropped earlier this year and has been riding high on the charts ever since. In some instances, the collaboration has been blocked from soaring to an even more impressive position by Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” the biggest song of 2026.
This frame, Langley stops Wallen from hitting the summit on the Billboard Hot 100, the most competitive songs tally in the United States. On other rankings, however, it is Wallen who leads — and interrupts a historic run enjoyed by Langley, at least for the moment.
Morgan Wallen Debuts at No. 1 on Three Charts
Wallen’s “Been By Now” debuts at No. 1 on several Billboard tallies this week. The new single leads the Digital Song Sales, Streaming Songs and Country Streaming Songs charts simultaneously.
Morgan Wallen Blocks Ella Langley From History
It is on the Streaming Songs tally where Wallen prevents Langley from making history. “Choosin’ Texas” has spent 16 weeks ruling the ranking, which lists the most-streamed songs of any style throughout the U.S. via websites like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, and others.
That run ties “Choosin’ Texas” as the fourth-longest leader in the history of the roster with “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber. Had “Been By Now” not replaced “Choosin’ Texas” at No. 1, Langley would have broken out of that historic match and solely claimed the fourth-longest reign. “Choosin’ Texas” instead remains matched with “Despacito,” at least for the moment, though Langley could find her way back to No. 1 very soon.
Ella Langley Remains Tied With “Despacito”
Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” holds as the sturdiest champion in the history of the Streaming Songs ranking. The holiday favorite returns to the peak each year and has now accumulated 26 total weeks at No. 1 — exactly half a year, though spread across a number of runs.
“Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus and Wallen’s “Last Night” come next with 20 and 19 turns in first place on the Streaming Songs tally, respectively.
Morgan Wallen Scores His Sixth Streaming Chart No. 1
“Been By Now” becomes Wallen’s sixth No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart. Half of those champions — “I’m the Problem,” “Love Somebody” and now “Been By Now” — have so far spent only one frame running the show.
“I Had Some Help,” Wallen’s collaboration with Post Malone, managed two weeks in charge. “What I Want,” his team-up with Canadian pop singer Tate McRae, held on for six frames, while “Last Night” remains far ahead with its 19 weeks at No. 1.

On both the Streaming Songs and Country Streaming Songs charts, “Been By Now” pushes “Choosin’ Texas” down to No. 2. That is not the case on the Billboard Hot 100, which ranks the most popular songs in the nation using streams, sales and radio airplay.
On that tally, “Been By Now” is forced to settle for second place as “Choosin’ Texas” manages a historic sixteenth frame at No. 1. The new release becomes one of a handful of Wallen tracks to miss out on ruling the Billboard Hot 100, though he has already scored multiple champions on the ranking throughout his career.
