Elton John’s 2025 has been filled with new music and more success on the charts in his home country of the United Kingdom. The music icon, who wrapped up his touring career recently but is still hard at work, shared Who Believes in Angels? with Brandi Carlile a few months ago, and the set could put him in the running for some of the industry’s biggest honors very soon. Alongside that acclaimed set, he’s issued several other projects this year — and one of them returns to the U.K. rankings this frame, climbing higher than ever.

Live From The Rainbow Theatre Is Back

Live From The Rainbow Theatre is back on the Official Albums Sales chart this week at No. 20, reaching a new best placement on the tally. The set also returns to the Official Physical Albums ranking, improving to No. 18 — another new peak. The live project debuted earlier this year, and now sits higher than ever in its second turn on both rosters.

The Set Debuts on the Downloads Ranking

The live effort also appears on the Official Album Downloads chart for the first time, where it launches at No. 82. The title becomes John’s third debut on the tally in 2025, joining Who Believes in Angels? with Carlile, which topped the list, and One Night Only – The Greatest Hits, which lasted just one frame at No. 62.

A Record Store Day Release Gets a Second Life

Originally issued as a limited-edition vinyl for Record Store Day 2025 in April, Live From The Rainbow Theatre arrived on CD and digital platforms in late July, giving fans more ways to add it to their collections. The performance was recorded during John’s 1977 shows at London’s Rainbow Theatre with percussionist Ray Cooper, and the set captures the star in his mid-’70s prime.

Diamonds Passes 400 Weeks

As Live From The Rainbow Theatre climbs, John’s massively successful Diamonds compilation is still present on multiple tallies, and it lives inside the top 20 on both of them. The greatest hits set has now spent more than 400 weeks on both the Official Albums chart and the Official Albums Streaming ranking, and it’s not going anywhere.
