Looking for help uncovering words in today’s NYT Strands puzzle? Look no further! Below, you’ll find some extra clues and other help to get you started in your quest.
Some cloud cover has cooled the suddenly summery days, which is nice. I’m still adjusting to this hot weather, and we’re not even close to peak temperatures. Still, the heat of the day is the perfect time to engage in some puzzle-solving. Let’s solve today’s Strands!

How To Play Strands
Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day’s theme.

Today’s Strands Breakdown
This was kind of a funny Strands. All the words point to someone who moves with confidence and GRACE, though I suppose you could have APLOMB without necessarily having STYLE. Or COMPOSURE without EASE. Mostly, I found the spangram kind of over-the-top: POETRY IN MOTION. I did find this a bit tricky and found a bunch of words that weren’t answers like LOTION and EMOTION.
