Is the Australian Government Taking Orders from Israel? Free Speech Under Siege as Foreign Interference Bans American Speakers from Landmark Summit

Gold Coast, Australia – July 16, 2025 — Just days before the highly anticipated Free Speech Summit—scheduled for July 19th and 20th on the Gold Coast—shocking revelations have sparked outrage among Australians and international free speech advocates alike: the Australian government appears to be acting on behalf of foreign lobbyists, particularly from Israel, to silence dissent and block speakers from attending the global event.

This follows a last-minute cancellation of the summit venue, the Star Casino, reportedly under intense pressure from Israeli lobbyists, leaving over 2,000 attendees and 20+ international speakers scrambling. Despite this, the event—hosted by the Australian National Review (ANR.News) and FreeSpeechSummit.com.au—is going ahead at an alternative location, albeit under heightened scrutiny and controversy.

Banned at the Border: Government Blocks American Speakers

Multiple American speakers have now been denied entry to Australia, allegedly at the behest of Israeli-linked pressure groups. One of those banned is Lily Gaddis, an influencer and commentator, prohibited from entering simply over a years-old TikTok video in which she used the “N-word” while referring to a friend’s partner in what was clearly non-racial, social context. Regardless of intent or relevance, that incident was apparently weaponized as justification to bar her from speaking in Australia.

This has raised chilling concerns: when did Australian immigration law start being dictated by foreign governments?

And more alarmingly: Why is Israel so afraid of a Free Speech Summit being held on the other side of the world?

The Only Country Trying to Stop the Summit

While dozens of countries have speakers participating—both virtually and in person—only one nation has actively lobbied to shut the event down: Israel. Why? Because the summit is set to feature open, uncensored dialogue on controversial global issues, including topics critical of Israeli foreign policy, media control, and alleged war crimes.

It begs the question: What is Israel so desperate to prevent the world from hearing?

This is not the first time such interference has occurred. The same lobby groups were behind the banning of Candace Owens from entering Australia in 2024, citing “controversial views” as the reason.

But the bans aren’t just limited to high-profile figures. Anonymous pressure campaigns have reportedly targeted every international speaker, urging them to withdraw, threatening reputational damage, and now even leveraging immigration systems to suppress their participation altogether.

Australia’s Sovereignty or Foreign Puppet State?

The implications are staggering. Australia, once considered a liberal democracy that championed open debate, now appears to be acting as an enforcer for foreign interests, curbing free speech at the border and bowing to external ideological influence.

Organisers of the Free Speech Summit, including Jamie McIntyre, founder of ANR.News, have condemned these actions:

“This isn’t just about a summit. It’s about whether Australia is still a sovereign nation, or whether we’ve surrendered our democratic values to foreign powers who fear the truth.”

Free Speech Summit Still Going Ahead – and Now More Important Than Ever

Despite the sabotage attempts, the event will proceed as planned, streamed globally by ANR.News, with thousands expected to tune in. With speakers including Professor Ian Brighthope, Steve Kirsch, Dr. Ben Tapper,Aussie Cossack, Sryian Girl, Former Senator Gerard Rennick and One Nation Senator Malcolm Roberts and many more still confirmed, the Free Speech Summit is shaping up to be the most censored—and therefore the most important—event of the year.

Australians are now asking hard questions:

Why is a foreign government being allowed to dictate who can and cannot speak in our country?

Why is free speech under attack in a so-called free country?

And most importantly: What is Israel so afraid of?

This weekend, the world will be watching. And despite the bans, censorship, and intimidation, the truth will be heard—with or without permission.
