DENPASAR — Legal counsel for Jamie McIntyre has raised concerns regarding transparency and corporate governance in the Marina Bay City property development project in Sekotong, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), during a press conference held in Denpasar on Wednesday (February 11, 2026).

Speaking at the briefing, lawyer I Komang Ari Sumartawan, SH, stated that his client, Jamie McIntyre, serves as Director of Azura LTD, a Hong Kong-based company that holds a 50 percent stake in PT Marina Bay Investments. The remaining 50 percent is owned by Marina Bay Group, with Adrian James Campbell acting as Director.

PT Marina Bay Investments is the developer of the Marina Bay City project in Sekotong.

Sumartawan said his team had identified an agency agreement between PT Marina Bay Investments and Kinnara LTD, a foreign company reportedly acting as a marketing agent to sell the project’s properties to overseas investors.

According to Sumartawan, under Indonesian law, property brokerage activities are in principle required to be carried out by legal entities established under and subject to Indonesian law. Therefore, he said, the existence and implementation of the agency agreement warrant further legal review to determine compliance with applicable regulations.

He further stated that his client had obtained information indicating that payments from several overseas investors were made to Kinnara LTD. Documents received by his client also show agreements between PT Marina Bay Investments — represented by its Director, Christina Natalia — and investors, which were signed using electronic signatures.

“The validity and legal standing of the use of these electronic signatures still require further clarification,” Sumartawan said.

He also noted that payments for the transactions were reportedly made through bank accounts in Australia and processed within Australian jurisdiction. According to him, this arrangement should be further examined in light of Indonesian legal provisions, particularly those governing investment, cross-border transactions, and corporate governance.

Sumartawan stated that to date, Jamie McIntyre, in his capacity as Commissioner and shareholder of PT Marina Bay Investments, has not received any official report or transparent breakdown regarding the total funds raised from investors for the Marina Bay City project.

Through his legal team, McIntyre has formally requested that legal representatives of Adrian James Campbell and/or Kinnara LTD provide detailed information on payments received, including the number of investors and the total funds collected. Sumartawan described the request as a legitimate exercise of oversight consistent with principles of transparency and accountability under good corporate governance standards.

Regarding a report of alleged corporate fund embezzlement filed by Adrian James Campbell with Bali Police, Sumartawan said the substance of the allegation requires further examination. To his client’s knowledge, no General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) or formal audit involving the Commissioner has been conducted to assess or conclude the existence of financial losses or violations.

“As such, these matters should first be examined through proper corporate mechanisms,” he said.

Sumartawan added that McIntyre has expressed his willingness to review all relevant data from Kinnara LTD to objectively verify the number of investors and the total funds paid in relation to the project.

He also urged investors who have made payments through Kinnara LTD to seek direct clarification to ensure legal certainty and protection for all parties involved.

As of publication, there has been no official statement from Adrian James Campbell or Kinnara LTD in response to the claims presented during the press conference.***
