Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will meet in a second consecutive Grand Slam final on Sunday in the latest chapter of the their fast-growing rivalry.

When Is The Wimbledon Men’s Singles Final?

The Sinner vs. Alcaraz Wimbledon final will begin not before 4 p.m. local time in London (11 a.m. ET) on Sunday. The showdown will be staged on the All England Club’s famed Centre Court.

What Makes This Wimbledon Final Special?

The Wimbledon final will see the World No. 1 and World No. 2 players fight for the title. It will be the second consecutive time they face each other in a Grand Slam final, following their meeting in the French Open final a month ago – which went down as one of the most memorable finals of all time.

Also, second-ranked Alcaraz will be playing in the Wimbledon final for the third time in a row, having won the titles in 2024 and 2023, beating Novak Djokovic on both occasions. The 22-year-old is looking to win his sixth major title.

For Sinner – the Italian World No. 1 will be aiming for his fourth overall Grand Slam title and first at Wimbledon.

The Italian has not dropped a set throughout the tournament, though he received a walkover in the fourth round while two sets down, when Grigor Dimitrov retired injured.

Sinner knocked out American 10th seed Ben Shelton in the quarterfinals before easing past 24-time major champion Novak Djokovic in the semifinals.

How Did Carlos Alcaraz Reach The Wimbledon Final?

Alcaraz’s Wimbledon journey started with a challenging five-set contest against Fabio Fognini before he registered a come-from-behind win against Andrey Rublev in the fourth round.

He sailed past Britain’s Cameron Norrie in the quarterfinals and tamed American fifth seed Taylor Fritz in four sets in the semifinals.

What Is Sinner-Alcaraz Head-To-Head Record?

Sinner and Alcaraz have met 12 times during their professional careers, with Alcaraz holding an 8-4 advantage.

The Spaniard has won their last five matches, including the 2024 French Open final in which he saved three match points to beat Sinner in nearly five-and-a-half hours.

The last time Sinner beat Alcaraz was in Beijing in 2023 in the semifinals.

Interestingly, out of the 12 meetings between the pair, only one has taken place on grass – a 2022 Wimbledon fourth-round clash which was won by Sinner.

How Much Is The Wimbledon Prize Money?

The winner of the men’s singles title will receive $4.08m, an increase of more than 11 percent on 2024.
