The Blackpink superstar has been pushing tunes from her debut solo full-length Alter Ego for months, and multiple tracks from the project have landed on the Adult Pop Airplay chart – but it wasn’t until she partnered with Maroon 5 that she reached new career heights.
Their catchy collaboration, “Priceless,” not only helped Lisa reach positions she’s never seen before on the radio tally, but also pushed her into the uppermost region of the ranking – and she makes history as she rises again.
Lisa Earns Her First Top 10 Hit
“Priceless” arrived on the Adult Pop Airplay chart seven weeks ago and has been steadily gaining in popularity ever since. This frame, the track lifts from No. 11 to No. 10. While that’s only a gain of one spot, it’s a significant one.
Lisa earns her first top 10 smash on the Adult Pop Airplay tally, which ranks tracks being played on radio stations that focus on the more mature side of pop music that accrue the largest total number of audience impressions. She now joins a select group of K-pop favorites who have managed to enter that coveted space.
Lisa Joins BTS, Fifty Fifty and Rosé
Lisa is just the fourth K-pop artist to make it to the top 10 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart. While she was born and raised in Thailand, when it comes to her music career, she’s most closely associated with K-pop. Her solo work is usually classified simply as pop or hip-hop, but thanks to her work with Blackpink — which is set to reunite later this year for a tour and likely new music — she remains a key figure in the K-pop space.
BTS is the only K-pop act to collect multiple top 10s on the Adult Pop Airplay chart. The group reached a new high alongside Coldplay with “My Universe,” which peaked at No. 8, while its own “Dynamite” stalled in tenth place.
Fifty Fifty’s “Cupid” rose to No. 9 at one point, and “Apt.” by Rosé and Bruno Mars stands out as the loftiest placement by any K-pop star. That collaboration missed the summit by just a single rung.
